it baffles me that we didn’t get one. Hopefully a 3rd party company comes along and gives us one. I’d bite.

This whole thing is just weird. I hate that if it's getting passed off that there's no USPS number to track.

I wouldn't call 29+ a repaint so much as just a paint! :)  I need it too, damnit. Damn this thread.

This has been my Holy Grail pose since MP-01, MP-03, and MP-05 were released. It's taken nearly two decades to pull this off but I would have waited an eternity for this.

I've got the same problem but on the other side:

No other issues that I've noticed. His feet are a little weird, but I think I just need to spend some more time with them.

Updating on the right tailfin area crack situation on my copy. Mine arrived with one hairline crack at the top of the receptacle of the right tailfin, which I could not see until using the "magnify" function of my cellphone. After two transformations to robot mode, I now observe 2 hairline cracks on that receptacle area and it extend down the "barrel" maybe 1~2mm. (I can still barely see it with the naked eye, which probably says more about my eyesight. Doh!) I'm not particularly concerned about it yet, as it doesn't feel like there's any imminent danger turning the tailfin. But obviously I'll need to keep an eye on that.

It appears that most people that observed cracks is on the right tailfin, so my guess is that either that particular hole is coming out of the mold at the lower end of the tolerance or below, or the right tail fin post that goes into the hole is at the upper end of the tolerance or above. When your particular copy has one or both near or exceeding the tolerance, crack develop. It's not awesome, and I get people bashing TT for bad QC on it, but I'm just going to deal with it if it becomes an actual problem. I'm fairly confident it won't get to that point, but I guess we'll see.

New MP-52 Starscream has made me realize I have far too many versions of the MP-11 mold. :D

I've already been contacted by two members about trading faces. Not the finest moment for Takara QC.

I guess if anyone has duplicate faces, post them here and someone will probably have what you need to do a trade.:lol

So my first Star Cream has a loose right foot. I saw the post about a tightening agent that works better than Future. Anybody remember what it was? @BrutiKing , was it you that posted the picture of the two solutions together?

No. Just always wanted to pose them that way since the beginning of Masterpiece.

Well obviously they shouldn't but I'm afraid that's not realistic. It's how a company deals with issues that's more realistic.

That said it doesn't look anywhere near as widespread as the Hound issues.

    Need a comparison with MP01, mp03 and mp05!

The Dr Wu one is pretty good. Can only move his arms but still looks the part:

They really nailed the face sculpts with this guy. My copy overall was pretty good. I didn't have the cracked joint, but had a slight paint blemish on the shin. I lived through MP Hound so I know things could've been worse! I used Kiki to tighten up his loose ankles and silicon oil to loosen up that tail fin joint, his neck, nose cone and the double ab crunch joint. At this point, MP collectors should have things to deal with joint tolerance issues that all TT and 3P figures have. THings like silicon oil, kiki, good screwdrivers and a spudger should be in the hobby tool box. The transformation was pretty good except for the nose cone rotation and the smoosh the cockpit together with the fake canopy move. I still move parts with caution based on the feel of the plastic. TT has been going for lighter weight plastics I assume for the balance needed for posing and articulation (and probably also for cost reasons) so I still treat these things with kid gloves.
I didn't like the soft plastic mounting part in the air intake. I'm guessing they went with a really soft plastic there to not scratch the painted diecast intake, but it's easily deformed and doesn't feel like a solid connection. You have to keep pushing it and hope it kind of stays.
The stand is great for alt mode but is too short for botmode to put him in a lot of creative poses. THat's too bad because the stand looks good and seems robust. I hope we see some 3rd party accessories that fix that.

It's interesting to see Ohno's applying his design philosophy with the goal of creating an anime accurate bot. With SKids there's an entirely different goal they have, but with Starscream, Ohno's still attempting a lot of different transformation tricks to bring Ohshima's drawings to life. Hiding the tail fins in the wings and using a fake canopy just to maintain visual fidelity with the drawings isn't the easiest way to do things but I'm glad he did it. I also like how the things that have been introduced in the line like hand sculpts and bot necks seem to be standard now and they're still being improved on.
