Now you got the brainworm in me running!:lol  I'm gonna look at some archives I got to give you the actual stats. Gonna be using the JP as those in reddit etc are all over the place.

What matters is if is profitable to Hb (and maybe Takara, just imagine a TTMall exclusive Metroflex Super Living Robot complete):ev:

I'm with you with that. Fyi, also own the 1st release Legends. So I'm cool with others getting the chance to own one.

Give him and Max the ankle tilts and I'm good!

I guess KD Slammer will be a redeco of KD Warpath.

Sounds cool, can't wait to see it. It's neat that they've put a tower mode in there for folks who have Metroplex.

    Interesting.

I was poor AF when LG-EX Metroplex was released just as I was poor AF when it originally came out in 2013. $260 to me is equivalent to $4.5 Billion.

If they reissue Metroplex, with me entering paid training soon and hopefully a job afterwards, that hopefully can mean no more money issues and that can then hopefully lead to me finally affording it

I’m so grateful to the TF toy designers who made Slammer backwards compatible to 2013 Metroplex. It’s like a gift to the fans who stayed around all this time. A gesture of respect. Slammer is a Weaponizer so he can be enjoyed by everyone with or without a city. But I do think reissuing Metroplex is a good idea. It’s rare when this connection to past toy designs happen (like Scorponok’s head fitting on Fort Max ) or when the budget doesn’t allow for more parts but Hasbro finds a way to bring these parts out in creative ways ( like the Centurion Set with all those bonus parts).

A new Metroplex would solve the problems with that mold, but I have a feeling that if any Titans get a redo it's gonna be Fort Max. If that hunch is correct, then a reissue of Metroplex would at least be beneficial for those that want one for under $200. And frankly, despite the flaws I still think Titan Metroplex is a better toy than Titan Fort Max.

I would rather a new one, a bit smaller but chunkier - better detailing and scales better with trypticon, with all the right guns (i.e. six gun pieces) for the shoulders, and the guns on his back. Just generally cartoon / toy accurate. A bit like Omega in the size aspect. Yeah those people who complain about the value destabilising can do one. Everyone should have a chance of getting one if the want one. If they do a new one, i would sell mine for pretty much the price I paid for it (with postage). I sold my max last year for £130 which is about what I paid for him and an extra £20 for ridiculously safe postage.

Thank God it's not a Warpath repaint. Who started that rumor anyway?

Man, I didn't realize Metroplex's market value skyrocketed that much. I remember thinking that paying a scalper $215 at SDCC for the exclusive version was asking for a lot, but if I knew it'd eventually jump that high, I'd have done that transaction a hundred times over.

If we don't get a new Metroplex mold, I'd love to see a reissue. I can't stand the resell market, so I appreciate any gesture towards screwing them over.

I agree. And with A.I.R. lock compatibility! So that, with a lot of Soundbarriers and Doublecrosser we could create an cybertronian esplanade around this hypothetic Metroplex (i am dreaming).
Why the hell they didn't make a new Metroplex in Kingdom instead of this ben10-esque Ark?

Actually, he won't. The description says that Slammer will have a tower mode (to be compatible with Metroplex), and his tank turret will be able to form part of a larger blaster, neither of which can Warpath do.

I’m hoping this leads to a brand new metroplex with the design style from the wfc Titans, the more I look at the old one the more it’s so out of date and a floppy mess.

A brand new wfc style one fixes everything, better mold, interaction with weaponisers, the air lock system, blast effects, (come with new blast effects) it would be awesome. Then new collectors can get the new one where as anyone thats happy with the 2013 can stick with it.

I don't know if it was a rumour so much as another tank being released at near the same time, with very limited repaint potential. If it had enough retooling, they could have got away with it too seeing as Slammer had no bot mode, and his 'tower mode' was just an up-ended tank with a square-knobby-bit.

But I appreciate the extra effort either way!

I feel the need to remind people that wishing for "new" versions of characters is a very "monkey's paw" request... Everyone asking for a new Metroplex is automatically assuming he will have modern upgrades that make him perfect, but WHAT IF:

-he gets ankle tilts, but they don't have enough friction to hold an action pose? Or they are so stiff they break if you try using them?

    - he has weak shoulder ratchets, and can't raise his arms?

-he has massive hollow areas, requiring $200 in 3p filler upgrades?

-to make better alt modes, they remove Scamper? (Use the budget for him to add plastic elsewhere)

-make him near-perfect, but raise the price from $160 to $200? $250? $300 even?
