Got inspired by a Reddit post a couple of months back (https://www.reddit.com/r/transforme...nsformers_animated_prowl_x_gi_joe_snake_eyes/) and finally got the model into a shape that can be test-printed (Ender 3 V2 / 0.4mm nozzle / 0.2mm layer height / Anet Black filament).

The visor part is going to be a separate piece for easier painting. The parts will be secured by an M1.5 screw just like the original Prowl headsculpt.

Unfortunately, this won't fit in the Samurai Prowl body (technically it would since the neck joint size is the same but the samurai helmet won't fit). Maybe I'd make a smaller version but I've always disliked how the Samurai Prowl head is too small when the helmet is not on.

Tried to keep the TFA spirit by giving him a huge chin too. As close as possible to the shape of the original head:

The Samurai Prowl head is tiny compared to the regular Prowl head:

Very nice. That head looks great.

Good job capturing the Animated vibe!

Thank you! Here's some progress photos with the resin print I just received from the service.

I'm happy with the details and the smoothness but the clearances don't work. Too tight and I had to sand a lot. I'm working with the printing service to dial in the tolerances and make it print accurate to the model dimensions.

I'm planning to take apart the entire figure so I can repaint it with an airbrush but the body seems to be glued together. Anybody who has experience disassembling this figure?

Will you make this available to anyone that wants one once you’re all done with him?

as far as taking him apart to paint, I wouldn’t go that route. I’d use masking tape or liquid. Save yourself some trouble.

I'm setting up a Shapeways shop for this and the other headsculpt projects I shared. If enough people are interested with the STLs, I will upload it too. I uploaded the Cheetor head in Cults3D (Transformers Animated Cheetor Head Replacement).

Yeah, I will try to use masking tape/liquid when I get to the painting part. Thank you for the recommendation.

Thank you! Here's some more progress photos with the katana sword I also designed:

Thank you! After making the Snake Eyes mod with the regular Prowl, I will probably make another build using the Samurai Prowl version that includes the side car but I don't have any plans in modifying it (aside from the paint job and either a smaller headsculpt so that the samurai helmet would fit or a modified helmet so I can keep the size of the head as is).
