I'm just trying to say, people usually don't have a very good attitude towards a game when its in an Alpha state. Even in a Beta state people can be very critical about a game. Sure a company can take it but it's also why developers don't release a game too early until it's almost complete. Because it can diminish the official launch if there is a lot of negative impact on the game's vision or design if it's commented on in too early of development. You'll see this a lot with RPGs and MMOs. Most AAA games really.

 

I tend to not be judgemental about games in any state unless they're literally unplayable. A And I've played quite a few alphas in my time, so yeah.

 

did he even mention E3? games can still be in development hell especially because of covid it is ok to think it is in hell because it's a possibility that could be true

 

Also I'm not being quick to vote it off . One of the things I meant was I doubt a summer reveal if anything maybe fall or winter even then I still have some doubt

 

Also two games come to mind after reading your reply about me saying I doubt the game and those are anthem and avengers although avengers hasn't gotten cancelled yet but probably will at some point unfortunately

 

Never did I say this game is cast off to abyss and never to be returned. I said it is in development hell, and that is pretty much a solid fact at this point. They plan to have open beta and other announcements years ago but never happened. The fact they needed much more money spews troubled development. Never did I say this game is cancelled, in fact quite the opposite. The point I am trying to make is that ALL gaming companies are in some sort of development hell right now and they just aren't ready, Certain Affinity included. We are just going to have to wait.

 

I wasn't saying it was cancelled either just the games I referenced were (at least one of them has been cancelled so far r.i.p. anthem gone too soon) but I know what you said about it possibly being in development hell I was just saying that reading what he said about me doubting reminded me of those two games but I probably misspoke in one of my replies apologies

I think you may be on to something.

With Rise of the Beasts details starting to come out, I can totally see them releasing/revealing it around then when the fire is hot. Especially since the new movie is going to have Autobots, Maximals, Predacons, Decepticons, and Terrorcons which makes perfect for the game as it includes the diverse cast of beast/vehicle forms.

Maybe a complete shot in the dark, but I think Hasbro is going to try and pull a power move and release the movie, game, new toylines, and TV show around the same time frame to get maximum exposure and rejuvenate the franchise. That's at least what the release dates are looking to be so far anyways.

There’s gonna be a new tv show on Nick at some point in the near future

 

There is already a confirmed Botbots show being made by Nick airing I believe sometime in 2022 or so, some more Cyberverse stuff, and a new unannounced show they haven't really said anything about yet.

 

I think it’s the lesser known one that’s going on Nickelodeon; the botbots one is going on Netflix

 

@B u m b l e b e e @Fox13 Really interested in a new Transformers game. You guys have anything to share or what are the chances we could get an announcement to coincide with the release of Netflix Kingdom next month?

 

Pretty much 0 chance. If it wasn't revealed at E3 or the other big events, then it wont be revealed for a one off series on Netflix. Maybe if it was the next movie or something maybe, but I see no logical reason on why they would release it with kingdom. We'll just have to wait until another big event or when they do their own.

Right now it's looking like it will be a long time till we get any news on it

 

If any new info is found, it’s immediately posted here. Nothing but radio silence as of late and people here have already speculated the reasoning behind this multiple times already so I won’t repeat what’s already up in the air.

As for when we can expect an announcement, at this point, it can happen at whenever. The big shows have passed and New York Toy Fair is cancelled this year. Hasbro isn’t even as reliant on such events anymore given how much the world as changed and can easily announce it themselves on their Transformers socials as they've been doing for other medias such as the toys, movies, comics, TV shows, etc.

While a beta was planned for the fall, it could have been pushed back a second time due to the pandemic. As Soundlips was saying, it truly affected everyone and developers had to adapt to the new climate on the fly.

 

With all of this return to Beast Wars approach from various outlets its interesting seeing all of this activity from the official Transformers twitter and even Hasbro. It makes me wonder if they are starting to roll out more information about their projects over the course of this summer. At this point everything is a guessing game. I haven't been able to grab any leaks since December 2020. So in the long run, I am kinda at a standstill grasping at straws. All sources are dark. Certain Affinity keeps advertising for their new IP. It makes you wonder if Halo Infinite is complete and Transformers Online is also complete? The only thing I can think of is a trailer being made but that's a guess at best.

 

I mean it worked when Bayverse was becoming a thing.
Transformers Animated came out, Classics Line, the '07 Film and video games based on them. And it's been over a decade, it's time to do what worked back then.
