Alright. Took the plunge and transformed him back to jet mode so time for some (probably final for now?) thoughts. Material wise I’m way less worried about durability after that round. I got tied up in the instructions and ended up putting more stress on it than I would normally do/like and it held up no issues. Transformation back tho is way more frustrating. The instructions and video are very unclear about the cockpit/fake cockpit/torso area and I felt like I was flailing around. Turns out the joint the cockpit is on ends up sort of half folded. It’s really unintuitive. Also the faux cockpit cover doesn’t tap in as securely as you’d think. It definitely tabs but it’s just slight.

Other than that I guess just a couple thoughts on the flight stand. I needed to tighten it up but it’s all screws so it’s very easy to do. It’s excellent for jet mode but practically useless for robot. Because of where the stand adapter connects and the length of the arm he’s actually too tall so you either have to bend the knees or sit him at an angle on it. Really could have used a longer arm.

 

I’m no expert, but I think I got a duplicate face. Aren’t I missing the normal smile?

DHL delivered!! I opened the box and no damage to the box at all..whew. I was nervous because I heard rattling inside the mp box..like alot. Turns out it as just the flight stand under the clamshell.
I've not transformed him yet but see no cracks or paint rubs. He looks flawless in jet mode. I'll transform tomorrow when I'm less busy and can take my time.

 

Wonder if Tenso address would work?

 

What UK based online stores do people recommend to get him from? I've just been waiting until he's available in the UK rather than preordering since I'm not exactly in a rush to get him even though I'm really looking forward to have him alongside my G1 colours MP-3 and MP-11.

I was a bit concerned about QC issues like there was with Hound but from the posts here he seems to be mostly alright aside from a minor crack that can occur.

 

It looks like he might be sold out in the UK.
If you're not in a rush, keep your eye out for any restocks at Omegalock, Kapow Toys or In Demand Toys.

 

~40 hours from Japan to NJ via DHL and packaging couldn’t have been better.

 

You check your account status directly at the website or your spam folder. I got my email Friday, paid Sunday and shipped Tuesday.

I'm finding that unless you want a dynamic pose for robot mode there is no need for the stand anyway.
