Very little of the idw I read had the dynobots fully formed as a team. So I thankfully don’t really feel the need to fill out the team. Id like the full team, but space limitations really are a cold bucket of water on that


side not idw collection related. I just swapped out my generations windblade that wouldnt stand with the cyberverse windblade, i am thrilled and shocked with the upgrade.

Kind of hard to keep a company afloat on WarWithin designs as they aren't that popular.

 

Really wish this was painted silver instead of grey plastic. Or even painted a lighter grey. Still won't stop me from getting it. This big boy will own whatever shelf he stands on.

 

Maybe Planet X will release a metallic version down the line.

 

With how much paint would be required to surface coat a toy like this I imagine it was done solely to keep price down and make his initial release production cost viable.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them do a full metallic version in a more g1 deco eventually though I also wouldn't be surprised to see it be very limited and cost 20-30 dollars more.

 

Another company made a WW prime and that figure was is the dopeness! It's not as if they're not popular it's just that if you don't build enough to give people to invest themselves in it then it's popularity won't be gained. It's like you have the market there, you got to feed the market to create the market further on. Like computers in the beginning, there really was no market for the home PC but the market was made and now look at us now. My opinion though. I just want more WW.

 

Do you know if darker plastics are also more sturdy? Or, rather, why not just do the whole body mostly in the silver plastic used for the hands, feet, and tail? I dunno the answer to the first question, tho I can guess the answer to the second is that it’s to be more accurate to the Maximum Dinobots comic.

Oddly enough he was supposed to be the next from Civil Warrior as well, following their General Grant which competed with ST's Alpha Pack. But last I heard Covid had sunk Civil Warrior before they even really had a chance to get off the ground, which bites as Grant was a damned fine figure.

 

I was handling my Vulcun today by coincidence, and I love that you can clearly see the DNA of that design in this new figure, but iterated again. It's the same tail holding into the calves trick, but it looks like its been done better here. It's the same 'dino head/chest/arms compacts into backpack and then attaches over robot head for dino mode' move, but again done with more finnesse here.

 

I'll get that one too, if it happens.

 

yeah, that’s not my favorite part of the figure. I love enough else about it that I’m still cutting, but I relate.

I’ve been yearning for years for a Grimlock with a more accurate, digitigrade, horizontal T-Rex mode. I’d prefer a Lost Light deco, but this is still great and will buy. If MMC’s comes out and is better, maybe I’ll but that and sell this. Maybe not; I liked the design of the renders for this better than I liked the renders from MMC.
