Im trying to get this properly transformed and there something that still prevent one side to close on the back, the shoulder/collar spike ornement seems to be in the way of the panel and push it from underside, is there something i didnt do right?

 

The shoulders should click back a bit, which moves the spike away from the left side of the T. Rex and towards the right. That should give the panels enough clearance to close properly.

 

thanks, yes i did that, but still, its more the upperside of the spike that bump against the tab of the panel

 

Okay, finally bit on this big guy and noticed this after transformation:


I know this is the problem area, right? I moved the ratchets for both hips up and down, back and forth, side-to-side several times, the crack may temporary increase in width ever-so-slightly during a click but has never permanently gotten wider. (As far as I can tell, it was there out of the package.) I see no other cracks forming. Do I:

A-- Call up BBTS ASAP for a replacement, that thing's gonna blow
B-- Put a little glue there
C-- Do nothing, it's fine

 

My vote is A and B. Take a bunch of picture before gluing.

 

You should ask for a replacement, you actually did develop a crack versus the mold line people mistake for one. If you decide to glue it you may want to take it apart and make sure everything is properly installed. I think on the ones with the broken hip, the ratchets were installed incorrectly causing the damage.

 

A first, then B if the online retailer return process fails you.

 

Call BBTS ASAP since they’re window for refunds/exchanges was 30 days but that was years ago, not sure if it’s been shortened or extended.

 

I checked, it's still 30 days, and I got my POL on the 13th, so I'm still good.

EDIT: Aaaaand less than 4 hours later they've already replied and we're setting up a replacement/exchange. This is why BBTS is worth a little extra $$!

 

I just ordered my-43 megatron from the chosen prime. Is the cracked crotches very widespread on the figure?

 

I don’t think it is but it’s a known issue that did occur on multiple copies. If chosenprime lets you get refunds or exchanges, I would check out copy as soon you get it. You’ll know if it’s cracked or not right when you get it out of the box.

 

Every single copy of Megatron will have visible plastic flow lines in the crotch area due to how the figure is molded, but confirmed incidences of that area actually being broken right out of the box have been exceedingly rare, and is almost assuredly an assembly/manufacturing error that should be replaceable, rather than an inevitable wear-and-tear fracture.

 

Uh... my Megatron who has only ever spoke Japanese just spoke English. What happened? He's the official version.

If I'm remembering correctly I don't think the official version's dino eyes glow, but the TM-01 knockoff has them! these soundbytes also happen to be the exact same ones on the toysmage knockoff, what a coincidence
