Looks like its relegated to one spot on the backside of the vertical stabilizer housings. People have said they aren't encountering any real resistance but its something going on in that spot if they are all the instances are happening there. Who know why until someone takes it apart and looks at it. I'm assuming its a rivet which are a lot harder to misfire than pins which makes it more puzzling

I can find no cracks or stress marks on mine, except for the gray piece under the canopy that I broke off myself just from being unfamiliar with how it moves (and how it shouldn't move). I may attempt a transformation back to jet mode this afternoon and do further inspections.

I think it's just that one spot on that one side with the vertical tail stabilizer, I've transformed mine 3-4 times at this point and nothing's gotten worse.

If you're really worried i think hitting the area w/ a hairdryer/heatgun before rotating that part for the first time should be enough as someone said above.

 

So what's the consensus? Is this worth dropping $275 on?

Dont really get all the complaining about his height. He scales well in relat6on to Megatron. And going by that picture hes going to scale better with the carbots now.

Reached my delivery center an hr ago, still have a chance of getting the out with courier message today.

Mine travelled via Hong Kong, and left there 18hrs ago. No further update since, but expecting it to land here and get processed overnight. Hopefully!

 

so mine is coming thursday...kind of of 2 minds about this. i really dislike what they did to the jet mode and a lot of the design choices here. on the other hand i can see some of the charm of this mold even if it has its issues.

that being said...initial feedback seems positive from reading the last several pages here, BUT broken parts both out of box or due to basic handling, and tolerancing/fit issues are present. broken part out of box are never acceptable and especially at this price range in this day and age. these are bandai bordering on arcadia prices but the finish and fit seem inferior (although they are far from perfect either). breakages s due to handling i can see that as unintentional abuse or user error i guess. its disconcerting there seem to be multiple users on this very board already with those issues. I think its safe to say everyone needs to handle especially carefully even compared to other mp level toys. i know i wil be. now which is the best transformation video to follow? lol
