Okay so finally took some sandpaper to the intakes and got everything to tab in properly. Still kind of annoying that every masterpiece I've purchased so far (outside of beast wars) has had some minor quality control issue. I was thinking about taking some heat to unwarp the plastic, but that seems riskier than it's worth - maybe I'll take some putty and do a slight remold but honestly it's so hardly noticeable.

Other than that the figure is very solid - more so than both mp-36 and mp-44. But I still have to handle this thing with kid gloves like all MPs since it's covered head to toe in chippable paint (mine has some very minor chips). Transformation wasnt bad - a bit more complex than mp-03/11 and you're working with thinner parts

I ordered when they first went. up, but forgot to update my CC on file after it expired. I was busy on Friday, and didn’t get to update my payment method until later in the evening, long after may of us got shipping notifications. I had a hard time getting the site to update my card as well (I had to use the ‘update’ link in the notification email, NOT the ‘change payment’ option on my orders list). I’m just glad it got to the ‘shipping’ state, as I was afraid the order may not have went through, as wonky as the ‘update payment method’ was.

I’m busy with a home improvement project that is eating up my time anyway. He’ll get here when he gets here.

I’m still waiting for them to ship and getting very impatient.... Silly question but did you try adding some zeros in front of the tracking number?

I’ll check later today, but either way I’ll be doing an exchange because of crooked symbols, non-locking shoulder intake and stress marks around a few other joints on my copy.

He is a gorgeous figure though! Really hoping they’ll give us a reissue if Hound with the plastic used on Starscream.

It might be hard to secure an exchange. He seems to be selling really well.

In my most humble opinion this figure compliments Megatron waaaaaay more than Prime does.

My decepticon tampograph is also crooked - might consider exchanging although last time I did that I ended up with two defective figures! Thankfully I was able to use the parts from one to fix the other but still.... I'm just so glad AJ customer service is really good

*sigh* seems no matter how good these figures are at the end of the day, it's still Takara lol

Received from AJP but I’m just not that enthusiastic about it. Maybe my first regret purchase in a long while.

Stress marks on the pita shell hinges? The takara guy kept forgetting to " pop" them out before folding the wings. It6ll be interesting for the people getting this after the video versus transforming by themselves. More people screwed their Sunstreaker window not knowing how to properly rotate it.

got my copy today (holy shit aj/dhl!!!) and overall he’s a pretty clean dude. if i had to choose a masterpiece moment, it’d be how his airplane nosecone folds up in bot mode. kind of reminds me of inferno’s ladder trick. his transformation is elegant and straightforward, typical takara fashion vs 3p offerings that depend on way too many hinges and armatures sometimes.

the one “issue” i have is that both forearm covers used for the transformation don’t seem to close all the way, leaving a small crack which is super annoying. i have to bend both wrists to add additional friction against the panels to BARELY hold them closed. anyone else with this issue?

Nah, those are fine on mine.
I’ve got a stress mark around the pin in one of his blasters, at the pointy part at the front of his wing (that folds up behind his butt) and 1 or 2 more that I don’t remember off the top of my head.

They were there straight out of the packaging, so not transformation related and I don’t think they would be common. Seems like random factory stress.

@WinstoBot, I do have the crack by the rear fin on one side! Seems like this could be a common issue with Starscream.
