Looks like I'll be getting mine Wednesday or Thursday since my shipment seems to have missed DHL shipping cut off time for the day.

Ah well, at least I'll have the long weekend to enjoy it.

Here’s more things I find interesting with MP-52:

• The angled off surfaces resulting in a softer look from a distance in robot mode remind me of the Dreamwave look
• The engineering and ability to maintain a stylized animation accurate robot mode while maintaining full, expressive articulation and a somewhat realistic alternate mode remind me a LOT of the Transformers Animated toyline, partly because a lot of what MP-52 does was thought to be impossible years back. I don’t know if Takara’s same engineering team from helped out or if Ono designed figures from that line too but the ability to pull off such a task shows similarities.

Man this thing is gorgeous. The more videos and pics I see the better he’s looking. The only thing that bumps for me as an eyesore is the rotating flap on his lower leg. I’m wondering, giving the simplistic toon aesthetics they were going for, why they would leave that part so busy. I’m hoping someone will sell a cap to simplify it.

 

Well got the email from DHL moving his delivery date up to today! Hopefully my neighbors can hold him for me, so I don’t get hit by porch thieves.

 

That’s a big difference with MP-03 and MP-11. Especially with MP-03, once you found a good pose, you had to find a way to balance it, not helped by how compromised the leg articulation was at the hips and how the stabilizers could get in the way. Easier with MP-11 due to more range but still an issue.

 

Well now we're both sitting in Ohio. Delayed, but getting closer.

Same story here, I got a notice this morning that the package was on hold. I've been talking with DHL customer service because I needed to change the delivery address, so I thought my hold was because of that. Wonder what's going on.

 

Arrived this morning from HLJ. Shipped out on 24th. So, 4 days from Japan to states. Haven't opened it yet.

Everything I am seeing, I think I may actually like it in hand. Still think it could use a 5-10% scale model detail treatment for the robot mode to match the alt mode. A very few small panel breaks or detail notches and the like to break up the boring, bland robot surfaces. Would liked it if it came with optional shin thrusters and a some way of having the option for toon vs toy decepticon logos.

 

Same here, and for a friend's. It's actually been happening to me, more often than not, with DHL that past few months.

It normally just means it didn't make it on the plane for outgoing shipments, either due to space or processing time. By the next day, it's always back on course. But I've come to expect 3 day shipping to the US versus what used to be, consistently, 2 day.
