I don't have a pic of the two together offhand, but I do have a couple of them each with my TFTM cast.

 

This says it all. I also am lamenting having to depend on XTB to get a better scaled Magnus, but it’s looking like I’m going to jump on that as soon as possible.

ummmmm regarding those last comments you made about hood paint-chip issues and awful looking shoulders - are you referring to MP-09 second release/reissue @Christiano ?

 

I'm referring to Hoodlum. Those tended to be his two most common problems.

MP-09 had some other issues, namely, the knee joints, but the aesthetics of the figure are great.

 

Except for those bony fingers, the long face, leg proportions at the knees, the weird flaps at the side of the torso, bell bottom boots...

 

I liked it.

Well the fingers and the face can be fixed easily enough. Just needs the replacement prowl hands and the face just needs a repaint. Not perfect, but works much better,

 

I would love a set of those blast and matrix effects.

 

I keep forgetting to look into the hand replacements. What’s involved with replacing them? I always forget the product name for Prowl’s hands.

 

Open up the transformation panel push on the hands till they pop out insert new ones. Keep in mind mine are painted to match Rodimus, the prowl ones are a lighter white. The Blue streak ones are a darker grey.

 

Do you know the product code or name for Bluestreak’s hands? I don’t think they’re Shadow Fisher.

 

MP09 is a great placeholder, but Rodimus Prime really needs a 2.0 figure badly. I have the version 3 mp09 and it has decent shelf presence, but it looks so out of place among all other transformers. Takara could do much better.

 

Yeah, I hide my Rodimus in the back in the shame corner. Maybe TT'll do a V2

 

They can now, that thing is 11 years old. Tech has improved a lot since then.
