Yeah, I’m very concerned about the Dino mode eyes looking kinda dead, especially since I would likely display Cacus in Dino mode at least some of the time. Hopefully they choose a brighter colored translucent plastic for the eyes before this enters production.

I also think the base release could use either some paint or brighter plastic to give the main release a more metallic look, since I don’t want myself and others to wait to see as to whether this will or won’t get a metallic release and then the fence sitting leads to no repaints period, if the initial run doesn’t sell as well as PX hopes it may. Now, maybe I’m wrong, but that does seem like another common complaint that should be addressed in the initial run. Or, they could announce a metallic run sooner, though that might eat into sales of the initial run…  

 

Yes unfortunately it has been shelved. For in order to give time to see how PX cacus is. As it is right now with it being the maximum dinobot verison and not being the mtmte/lost light/scavengers. All PX needs to do is change red hands to black, new head sculpt, new chest piece, and the red inside tail/backpack to gold. Also the hight being only 29cm or 11.5 inch is on the shorter size in compare to reformatted figures (idw mtmte/lost light). But once it comes out and MMC gets their hands on one a final determination will be made if Trux is dead in the water or if the project will quietly and slowly continue on the side as a passion project for a later release.

 

So this is probably a rough estimate on how tall he'll be with an MP scaled Prime based on how tall their Star Saber/Deathsaurus scales with him.

I hope they're designing everything according to Maximum Dinobots. Snarl and Slag were both a little shorter than Grimlock and Sludge a bit bigger

Wait Planet X posted on Facebook he was 29cm /11.5 inch.... but this says 27cm / 10.63 inch. I wonder which one it really is. In mtmte/lost light grimlock taller than fortmax. Overlord and fortmax are same height so in order to work with MMC Reformatted figure Grimlock needs to be 29cm to be perfect height. At 27cm he's too short for idw mtmte/lost light comic accuracy.

 

True but also Grimlock in IDW’s size changed a bit I feel, like he really feels really big in MD but then when you get to MTMTE he looks more like a raptor that a t-rex cause of how much smaller he looks also he is almost the same size as MMC Fort Max and Overlord (assuming the photoshop is close to how he will be)

 

Honestly all Px needs to do to give us a working grimlock for the Mmc figs is an upgrade kit or bonus with: Black hands, new head sculpt, new chest piece, and turn the red inside of tail to gold and we are all set. And a MMC Trux is not needed.
