I had both before and sold the gift set because they are apparently difference and the gift set looks like a KO version.

The feet in the after picture have 'toe caps' to just snap on the existing feet to resculpt them a bit, IMHO the factory ones look like dumpy shoes from the front, and lack that cool look the toy/toon had.

Sorry, I'm just a 3D designer workin' on this as a hobby out of my house, not a factory. Doubt a 3rd party will ever be interested in such an old bot. But maybe printed in color would work?

    Yes thanks!

Happen to me too, I used pliers to pull away both figures from the connector, then, sand the Scattershot connector to down it a little and works for me.

You can also unscrew parts of lightspeed to press down the connector and get it detached. It's supposed to spring, but..the connection is tight so when I finally unconnected the combiner, I had to unscrew the upper portion of lightspeed, because otherwise the connecting tab isn't really accessible.

Just be careful about stripping the screws if you do that, because they can be fairly tight.

Anything to watch out for in the 'reissue'? Thinking of getting one.

I think that Computron/Bruticus reissues were High-Quality Knockoffs because both of them had tons of missing pieces/issues, if you can grab a first edition set, do it

    Computron's reissue was a KO ++.
And yes, the original run was better.
But Bruticus' reissue was a Warbo product.
Didn't see one for a long time, sorry.
But WB-01, yes, at Robotkingdom (better to check with them if still in stock, I think).

Wait, how are you certain that the Computron reissue is a KO and the Bruticus reissue is legit Warbotron? Because of the box?

Plastic and painting quality. Joints. Issues.
Compared to original runs or WB-01's KO (OS).

If I may, do you have an opinion about these reissues? What do you think about them, if you got them?

But people reported missing parts on their WB Bruticus (reissue). You're willing to overlook that because it came in a Warbotron box that looks similar to the TFM chrome Menasor gift box?

If this is your way of asking if I have both the original and reissue of WB Computron, yes I have both currently. I also have the original WB Bruticus.

As for my opinion, I don't pass that off as fact (unlike a lot of people on here do). What I do know as fact however is BBTS telling me that the reissue is legit Warbotron.

The missing parts where just Onslaught's hip missile skirts and BBTS was already was able to contact them and get replacement parts.

For the boxes, both Bruticus and Menasor had the same style black box with the figures in bags in a foam insert and the company name on the box. The Computron set was just a brown box with a different company name and the figure was in plastic. I got both the Bruticus and Menasor sets, so I know the packaging was the same just with the proper logo. Warbotron/TransformMission/GT have also been rereleasing/progressing their work currently and the Bruticus and Menasor sets released in the same time span, where the Computron set was released quite a while before. I think BBTS just listed it as official and probably weren't sure themselves and could just reuse their old listing.

I wasn't sure myself if I should try going with the Computron set or not since I wasn't sure if it was legitimate, so I ended up finding a set of the original releases. To me it just seems like there's more pointing to it being a KO. The BBTS listing is really the only thing to suggest otherwise, while the Bruticus and Computron sets both match each other.

Lmao, not even ONE received their replacement parts yet, after MONTHS, BBTS marked the WB-01 listing as SOLD OUT after receiving the first complaints, they don't have the missiles because the set is a knockoff and it was produced without the missiles, and yes I bought the reissue, feels "good" but not right, a good quality knockoff (not Jinbao-tier, idk why people say BUT IT DOESNT FEEL LIKE DA JINBAO! there are TONS of WB-01 knockoffs, not just Jinbao) also without the original comics, luckily I found a first edition WB-01, the first edition isn't perfect but he feels "original" unlike WB-01 Reissue, but his price was 199, WB-01's price was 500, maaaaybe this set is a "Warbotron" licenced (even if Warbotron is a dead company by the way) but this product was mass-produced in a different factory with cheaper materials, non-existent QC, just an inferior version/KO of the original WB-01
ALSO, BBTS is selling now more WB-01's for 150$ hahahaha now it comes in a "brown box"

That's just because they were waiting until 6/25 to give people time to confirm their address. They had them ready on 6/18. Good point on the comics. From the past reviews I've seen the instructions with the Menasor set still match the originals. Thanks for the details on the difference in how they feel. I had gotten the $150 set and I'd thought it was a brown box with shiny Warbotron lettering, but I didn't keep it so I can't check. DX9 and Unique Toys are also both said to be dead now, but they're still putting out repaints and replacement parts. I think GCreation was dead for a while too before they came back with their movie Grimlock and some repaints. It's weird, but at least the sets seem to be of good enough quality.

Appreciate your comments but come on now sir, lets not twist facts here:

    >The Computron reissue happened just last year (and so did the Menasor reissue btw) and not "quite a while before" like you claim. Also, RobotToyBase, and ShowZ also sold the Computron reissue (didnt check at the time if RobotKingdom or anyone else listed it so I'm not sure about the other retailers).

    >The Bruticus and Menasor reissue did not happen at the same time span (Menasor reissue was announced 3rd quarter '20 and released 4th quarter '20 while the Bruticus reissue was announced 4th quarter '20 and released 1st quarter '21). Now, if we were to use this same logic one can argue that the Computron reissue happened at the same time span as the chrome Devastator release.

    >Finally, just based on what you stated your main reason to think that the Computron reissue is a KO is the box and yes I do agree that the box is suspect but it did not list a different company name. The box just had "Race Computron" on it. Three different retailers (maybe more, I'm not sure cause I didn't check other retailers at that time) had this listed as Warbotron.

I do appreciate your response but man lets keep everything 100 now (not state our opinion as fact).

BTW, the BBTS listing for the Bruticus reissue from the get go stated that it'll come in a brown box.

So i got computron used (individual boxes) and scattershot's back peg holes are cracked (where you store the wings in combined form. Is this a common issue? Anything else to look for? Havent opened the others yet.

Not a common issue. Sorry for you.
    Nothing else to look for.
Legs' combiner ports are tight on mine, but the pegs don't stuck however. No worry.

Please, can you tell me which red did you use for the breastplate?
I've tried several without finding a close shade.
