If you want the most accurate representation of BB BB, but at the cost of being very fragile, you'll want TC Bee. But if you want one that's not super proportionate but good enough and holds tougher, then you'll want TE Bee.

Sexy MPM Prime! I'll be adding paint details myself and I feel like one of the only people who is hyped for that figure. And good to know that it goes well with this Bee.

Is MPM Prime out in some territories then? It's not out til late August here.

Yeah it's really been a shame how things have panned out. Mine hasn't had any issues but it's just been on a shelf the past few months, I haven't bothered transforming it after breakage reports became widespread. Hopefully their Optimus will be better (if they're still planning to do it, it's been a ridiculously long time since they updated on that.

I transformed mine once and left it in vehicle mode months ago. Now I just happened to look at this thread and I'm afraid of even touching it again. God.

That MPM Prime repaint looks great. Get the guys that did the MPM Ratchet KO on that guy with fixed cab mode flaps and a premium repaint STAT.

Just got mine in yesterday. Let me start this off by saying this little guy is just beautiful. I haven't attempted the transformation yet, but man...just amazing.

Great as this figure is, though, the hands are garbage. You'd figure they could have done better than what they did with all the engineering that went into this thing.

Joints on my guy look pretty much like everyone else's. Like....exactly. Seems kind of odd to me that all the cracks are in the same place. On mine, they're symmetrical to the other side. Not too sure they're actually cracks. Here's the "cracks" on the hips.

    IMG_7886.JPG
    IMG_7888.JPG
    Same with the knees.
    IMG_7891.JPG
    IMG_7892.JPG
    Here's a great example....
    IMG_7895.JPG
I've circled what look like cracks but they're symmetrical with the other side and solid....at least so far. The only ones that look sketchy to me are the two shoulder blemishes I've circled opposite the wheels. Then again, I'm old and my eyes are shit now as are my decision making skills. That being so, I'm planning on transforming him a few times to see how he holds up.

In the end, I'm not sure any improvements were made with the second or third run of these, which is disappointing. I've got my fingers crossed, but if he holds up, he's one heck of a figure....fragile as he is. Very similar to Toyworld's Constructor, unfortunately.

Got mine from TFSAFARI this week. Fortunately after the 1st round transformation there's nothing crumbling. I will probably leave it like this and maybe get one more later for the vehicle mode.

BTW, I saw TFSAFARI is offering a discount on this set at around USD109.99, probably the lowest price now, link for the ones who are still interested on this.

Yeah it seems to me more like the seam line of the injection molding

I’m inclined to agree, the injection molding process could result in these lines where the plastic filled around a peg design to shape the hole for the pins. Although with their choice of metallic plastic, it could be a problem with the formulation or mix of metallics that causes them to split around the same part. If they had used a solid color plastic, I wager the issue would not be as bad.

I am worried for this figure but I wouldn't assume every single line in the plastic is a crack too.

I've only transformed mine 2 times and had two pieces break off, his right ear (glued it back on) and this piece

I'm just keeping him in robot mode from now on.

That link posted above really has me thinking about pulling the trigger. What do you guys think? I’m a guy who mainly likes to transform my figures—but I’m really carful about it. For example, I’ve transformed mp-47 Hound way more times than I can count and he’s still basically in one piece (had to glue some stuff, but none of that resulted from me moving the parts around). I’m really impressed with this figure and don’t want to miss out so I’m really stuck on what to do… Thanks in advance for any feedback/suggestions!

Great question. It's usually impossible to know from these threads just how widespread an issue is, and also just how frequently the issue in question *actually* leads to breakage. Of course those who experience the issue are more likely to post about it.

I've only had mine for a few days. No clear breakage so far, thought it does have all the cracks/seam lines that people are referring to. So far I've transformed it a few times. It's a brilliantly designed figure, and really impressive how screen accurate it is.

    On another note:

Any tips on getting the front end to peg together solidly? On mine the two halves of the front end tend to want to come apart. I'm wondering if I'm missing a transformation step or have something in the wrong position somewhere...

I'll check it out. I'm referring to the alt mode front end: e.g., the hood wants to split in alt mode. Let me know if you have any thoughts!

Checked out the video. Yes, yours definitely seems to come together more tightly & easily than mine. The only possibility I can see is that maybe I didn't position the thumbs properly & they're interfering with the legs pegging in fully against the arms & that's making the alt-mode go wonky. I'll check it out when I get back home today.

@timcourtois i think too, it might have to do with the puzzle style feet and fold over and in portion
