Depends on the TK Maxx, some (my local included) only seemed to get in the Cyberverse Dump Truck Armour Buzzworthy Bumblebee, and they've since been snapped up with nothing else doing TF-wise whens I ducked in my local on my Rum Run yesterday. The Entertainer might be a shout, especially if you're hankering for Battle Masters, otherwise just what your reachable Smythses are clearancing at the 'mo, maybe check out a Game store if there is one on your drive?

allegedly that takes place during a contest to see who is worthy of wielding the ten rings. There are alleged to be other characters in that sequence that we may recognise. Pretty sure that’s Wong he’s fighting and Kwannon from X-Men also turns up. Abomination and General Ross both turn up in the She-Hulk TV series after this.

Thank you @Embee Prime for posting this in this thread, I don’t venture too much outside of here so this helps with keeping up with rumours! Very excited about this and potential other Victory figures. I hope Multiforce end up bigger than Battletrap so that Landcross is at least same size as Prime Wars trilogy combiners.

Do you guys think Hasbro (US) is testing how popular JG1 is in their home territory before going full out. They need to start thinking global and that good designs will sell.

Game for Micromasters at £8 if that is a good price?

Ah all of those choices/pictures of KO MP Megs look amazing! ;)
I wish I'd jumped on the early release of Magten but then I also like the IT G1 head sculpt too!
As I said previously I don't collect Masterpiece figures but feel the need for a Megatron so i will have a scout around for a good price. :thumb

Ah, keeps all sorts of things alive then. And I reckon this movie might need the help tbh. Like it keeps showing you everybody else talking but the lead. And considering a lot of Marvel geeks would need to Google him... I can't shake the feeling the script was designed more for the Chinese market.

Yeah it has to as you also can’t go back to really bad foreign stereotypes (e.g. Fu Manchu Mandarin) and also it is the biggest market. They also have to appeal to Western Chinese (ABCs, BBCs). My friend says it looks like another Western Asian rediscovering his roots film but I’m happy with that. I can only speak for myself as a BBC but I feel we need more of these especially with the Asian hate environment.

As for Simu Liu being unknown that is probably true for a lot of non-Asian audiences in the West. I know him from Kim’s Convenience and he has worked previously on Wong Fu (YouTube). I was surprised he got the lead as I didn’t think he was a martial artist (or that they could have cast someone better who was known more for those skills). (However I didn’t know who Brie Larson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Tom Hiddleston or Mark Ruffalo before their MCU debuts.)

TBH the latest trailer left me less hyped to watch it (although I still will) than the previous trailer. Thought it was a bit hmmmm.

Saw a video once where it explained the reason dialogue was often shocking in American movies was so it could be easily dubbed for the Chinese market, whether voice, subtitles or politically. I've a feeling this is part of a much wider Disney plan that isn't going so well whether East or West. Though a lot of that is the respective politics at every level.

I actually meant the character was unknown, it's why I was really looking forward to seeing a Marvel martial arts movie. It and Blade were way more interesting to me than another Thor for instance. But this looks so flat. We haven't seen any of the lead's character at all so everything else has no resonance. Like even the most impressive part of the trailer, the creatures, look so jarring in what could almost be any martial arts movie. So far I've seen better choreographed fights on... just about any modern TV action show

The only thing got me interested in the Shan Chi movie is
seeing The Mandoran done properly. Am a little annoyed we won't ever see him go up against Stark, seeing as they're nemesis and all, but oh well.

That big dragon and abomination have piqued my interest, but not enough to actually get excited for it.

Discovered someone on this site has done a custom of star saber using the original classics jetfire mould. Turns out really well so think once the house move has finally happened and settled, that will be my next project, as then he will match up with my voyager deathsaurus done from that beast hunters guy. And also will match up with all the other autobot leaders.

    That looks cool.

Nice way to make sometime similar to EagleKiller or REV (Racing EVolution).

    REV.jpg

I bought mine some entirely new cannons and some pink Sixshot swords, I still will likely get him some gun site gap filler for the guns (which I'll have to paint red) & I'm considering some articulated hands - but i'd like them in white and I can only find them in black so far. come to think of it I think i'd like white hands for most if not all the other versions too - so heck knows why they make them only in black. I wouldn't mind an entirely new "cat head" or even an articulated tail if someone wanted to make one though.
But the new guns do help quite a bit to distinguish him from Sixshot. I likely might need to of those peg converters Nonnef sells to get the full use of the guns in the other modes though, I wonder if they might ever Make a Takara Exclusive Six Knight toy from this mould ?

If for no other reason than to give them an excuse to make a new beast head.

Any one in the market place for this to join their collection?

Since a few of us have been discussing Fortress Maximus I started looking again at the hands upgrade kit and stumbled upon this Chinese ebay seller. Tempted to have a punt but definitely not kosher so I will pass on that. Over 50% less than the going rate for it.

Ah sorry some misunderstandings on my part. Dialogue ok did not know that.

Character vs actor ok understood. I agree with you that the martial arts don’t look anything special or the even near the best thing of the film. It’s definitely not selling to me as a martial arts MCU film which when thinking about the source material is very disappointing. Tony Leung who plays the Mandarin is not someone who i would consider a top martial arts actor either (although he played Ip Man in The Grandmaster so has had to have gone through some Wing Chun training for that role) but actually one of the best actors ever. He is very versatile. If you have time check out Hard Boiled (John Woo directed and Chow Yun Fat co-star), Bullet In The Head (another John Woo film), Infernal Affairs (your original The Departed), Chungking Express (something totally different to the other 3). I digress, they could have got actors with more capable martial arts skills to make it a martial arts MCU film.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not a TF expert by any means, but nonetheless an '84 pre-rub Fort Max inspires me to a protracted Jimmy Hill "oh chinny reck-on" mime.
