Well, the collab logo shows Jurassic Park, not Jurassic World.

Not sure if we'll really be getting any iconic vehicles in JW: Dominion considering that movie won't be taking place in the park.

All the JW vehicles were Mercedes I think.

Obviously, Hasbro these years put more efforts on BW line, see, MP, Kingdom, Encore of old toys, now we have Jurrasic Park and TF7 movie, so I guess in the future we will see a package of Jurrasic-marked dinosaur and other animal toys as well as SS + MPM BW toys

I would not be surprise if the actually toy was this color scheme. I think it needs more colors. What if the robot parts were black, red and yellow to match the original JP logo.

I would absolutely buy that! Wanted to do a custom of Alternators Hound back in the day, but then I realized I had zero customization skills XD

If they were going to use Ironhide they'd use ER first before pulling that out of mothballs.

My only concern here is the rubber used in the BW Megatron mold.

I can't say I'm not disappointed it isn't a Jeep alt, but an Explorer (or Bronco if it's in the upcoming movie) would work nicely for a RiD15 Strongarm.

They're saving him for a Collaborative Seinfeld/USPS LLV bot.

I wonder if Takara would even want to be involved in something like this. Bandai is their direct competitor in Japan. Maybe they wouldn't care, maybe they would? I mean, if Takara got the license to do DC/Transformer figures would Hasbro sell them in the US? Obviously it helps the TF brand but DC figures compete with Marvel Legends? Maybe it doesn't matter because it boosts your brand along with your competitors?

I'm still blown away that they did Street Fighter figures :D

If they got a cut they wouldn't care. The question is if the price of doing it would be worth it.

FWIW, so far none of the collaboration figures have been released in Japan. It appears to be a Hasbro solo venture.

Edit: whoops, looks like TT released them as Mall exclusives.

I distinctly remember Takara announcing Maverick as a Takara Tomy Mall exclusive, and I'm pretty sure they did the same with Gigawatt. I'm sure they've released the others as well, especially considering the only figure only released in one market after the brand unification was Takara siege Nemesis Prime.

I don’t know... Takara has a history of pursuing money-losing projects and being less motivated over long term survival and more interested in short term “this is cool, let’s do it” motive.

This is the company who tried to revive Binaltech TWICE (or three times if you include Alternity). Binaltech was awesome but it couldn’t find an audience. Takara didn’t care and kept throwing money at it and even produced Kiss Players to keep it going.

My point is that Takara is littered with projects that are “really cool” or very fanservice oriented but just don’t make a lot of money. So I’m not sure profit is a motive.

Lastly, getting money from a Bandai collab might offend them. Japanese companies have a lot of pride and saving face is important. Collaboration could be perceived as weakness, “your franchise needs our stronger brand to sell units.” Takara has never appeared as an overly prideful company but you never know. The TF franchise is hugely important to them though.

I really hope the Ford bot mode is a tour guide. Would be funny to picture a situation where the trex gets loose, and the tourists think "oh thank God we've got this robot to save us!" and he's crapping bricks because *none* of this was in the training material.

I'm thinking they might try and make him look like a homage to Dr Alan Grant complete with hat (and unofficially to Indiana Jones, think explorer, Spielberg connection, habit of getting into sticky situations - and the hat)

My guess the face/head would be based on the Night Vision goggles. The vehicle mode would be this
