Hyperbole. Hips with a bit of wiggle is not "a floppy mess".

Wiggle? You turn his legs facing forward and he'll fall over, that's pretty floppy to me.

Your not speaking for all the the Omegas, mine is great and is very sturdy.

    Might just be yours unfortunately.

I still don't see wiggle in the hips as making the whole thing a floppy mess.

Terminus is a hands down better figure than Gabriel in my opinion. Much better sculpt and proportions. Mine has had zero issues as of yet and I have 2 of them.

But we digress away from the thread...

Hopefully Fortress will be a great and stable statue to stand beside my collection and take up a majority of the room.

I'm certainly getting him as soon as he's available.

Yeah, my TG was perfectly stable on the shelf, even with the feet facing forward. Lots of hyperbole about that figure, mostly by bitters that didn't like the price or having to deal with the DX9 soaked package fiasco, so they needed more reasons to justify their choice, even when they have to make them up out of whole cloth.
That said, the long-term plastic durability seemed to have some issues, likely due to the weight of what certain parts were holding up. With those reports cropping up starting last year as I recall, perhaps it has moved FT to rethink some of their combiner engineering.

Lol at the heavy simpin’ here. Gabriel is leagues better than TG. I had both, and sold TG. Kept Gabriel.

Ugly knee holes, comes apart by lifting its arms, and of course wobbly as shit.

But of course, the blind FT simp brigade will never disappoint.

    Anyway,

While cool, I don’t think this is seeing the light of day anytime soon.

Gabriel vs Terminus is one of these situations that proves to me that some people will never be won over without that green sticker. Terminus is cool and all, but Gabriel just oozes the pure essence of Omega Supreme (also his chest doesn't look like it has a pair of depressed eyes looking straight at you).

Even someone who's as big of a fanboy as Bobby Skullface had to at least admit that they're comparable. Can't imagine what it takes to think Gabriel is considerably inferior...

owning neither, handling both and owning no DX9 but a few FT, Gabriel was more fun and impressive in hand than TG

those shin pads on TG are so off-putting

I like both Omega’s. I think the look and finish is a little nicer on Terminus but I wouldn’t want to worry about his hips someday shearing so I’m plenty happy with Gabe.

The $1,200 price is the cost of HB plus the additional accessories. You can buy those separately for a few hundred, but the original price for HB was about what @Grimlock212 mentioned. I think the reissue of HB they included the additional pieces so that's why the price is higher, because you're getting more.

*edit* it looks like a few others have provided the same info prior to my reply. sorry, not trying to beat a dead horse. I would like to get an HB one day.

Don't forget Unicron. They would do him too. If Fort Max is successful, FT has a clear roadmap to immediately release a Metroplex and Scorponok. Zeta gave them an excellent head start on a Unicron and Trypticon shouldn't be very difficult. FT would use this like another set of combiners with multiple releases. It just makes too much sense if they want to expand their business out another 5 years. I think we are all slaves and junkies at this point.

few little things i don't like and they are little but no denying gabriel is the more stable and dynamic but out of the 2 i still prefer ft's and thats not me being a fan boy i have not bought everything of theirs , there's a few figures i wouldn't even entertain buying , the only thing tht bugged me at first on ft's is the shape of the yellow shin pads :)  there is a slight wobble in the hips of my terminus but it has never flopped moving it or fallen over

I doubt this thing is anywhere near the horizon. They have been delaying their combiners for a while now specifically because they can’t figure out how to make them stable (maybe don’t put pointless diecast), but they also had an omega supreme that couldn’t support itself.

But if it doesn't have heft, how can I physically determine that it is a good product?

On the other hand Fort Max's transformation is super simple so you would have thought the parts count would be low which should also mean that he's just nice and empty boxes all joined together. Compared to the parts count of all the Stunticons it'd be night and day. TR Fort Max isn't exactly heavy, I can't recall the last time I actually held him though...

Does anyone have an idea how much the FT Stunticons alone weigh?

I would hope anything that large and expensive would have more than a lay down, fold over transformation and offer considerably more interaction with other figures in base mode. I get what you're saying but any added in features would require additional panels and mechanisms.

I wonder if this thing is going to have some form of die cast inner Skeleton/framework like some giant gunpla and all the limbs are basically shells that don't need to support all the weight.
