Okay so my W3 Netflix spoiler pack just arrived...and are the blast effects *in* the Play-Doh? Like, do I really need to open that and go digging around for them? Because they're no where else in the box I can see them...and...ugh. --------- Initial shipments of Galvy had his shoulders assembled incorrectly so they hung lower on his body. A running change in later shipments fixed that. So far it seems all of the sightings posted here in the MN thread are the "good" later version. As for what you'd be looking for, in box it's easy to tell. The tops of his shoulders should align roughly with the pin in the black pylons on either side of his head. The below pic demonstrates the difference. A figure with good shoulders will have both look like on the left. The "wrong" version will have both hung low like on the right.
Picked up a Rhinox from Chanhassen Target. Compared it to my T30 Rhinox. The top panels are smooth and unpainted in beast mode. It’s like they gave up 95% of the way through and said “good enough”. T30 doesn’t have a straight hump/shell for a back. It has slopes and curves that look more natural. In bot mode T30 has more paint and sculpted detail. Kingdom looks pretty flat, especially in the face sculpt. There isn’t as much contrast in greens and golds either. Both are pretty close in height. Kingdom looks slightly bulkier, and obviously has much tighter joints. Kingdom Rhinox’s painted weapons are also a plus. It’s kind of a toss up for me. They both have pros and cons. If T30 had tighter joints and more paint on his weapons and beast mode, it would be an easy win.
As I've told a number of people, if you have T30, don't buy this if all you want is a replacement. Buy Kingdom Rhinox for what he is, if you want that. If you have neither? Whichever is cheaper and easier to find.
Speaking of, Shakopee Target had 4x Rhinox when I was there earlier tonight. Yeah, all the spoiler packs have had that. It's in a little bag in the playdoh tho. Kids wanting to dig through garbage to get a toy must be a thing now, because I see it in a LOT of blind stuff at this point. At least it's not that terrible, terrible kinetic sand crap. The purple works great together.
Is that anything like Play Doh? My kid has a ton of that so if I could just toss it in a spare jar that'd be fine. Otherwise his friend down the street has kinetic sand so maybe he'd want it. Lord knows I've got nothing better to do with it. ---- Cracked open the spoiler pack. Hope this is what they're implying.
No Kinetic sand is like... it's hard but then you have to dig through it. The stuff with the spolier packs is just regular playdoh.
Has anyone found the wave 3 (kingdom) deluxes in Minnesota yet? Apparently mine are shipping from Amazon.
Outside that random sighting of a case of Wingfinger I didn't think W3 Deluxes had been sighted anywhere.
North Metro is still devoid of any of the new Kingdom stuff. That or they've been snatched up long before I find them.
