Yeah, definitely looking forward to this film. Although I think the Mandarin will still not be to people’s taste.

Just because they want to complain?

 

That he still wont be 100% like the comics or that the rings work the same.

Cause to me right now, it looks like they changed their abilities but who knows.

Mandarin's Rings

so far it just seems he's using a physical version of either Lighting, Influence or Spin with them. All of them instead of singular, he's technically a low-grade Thanos.

 

The rings do seem all samey, rather then ten different ones.

 

And suddenly that character became a lot less menacing.

 

Yup. I just want a straight forward action movie with some cool fight scenes and supernatural stuff. Plus it has Michelle Yeoh!

 

Abomination AND Wong?! Now that was unexpected. Movie looks cool!!

 

Trailer was meh. I still don't know what to think about it. Curious as to why Abomination is in it. Isn't he suppose to be in the She-Hulk series as well?

 

I mean he didn't do much in his first movie appearance and he is fighting against a powerful sorcerer, I wouldn't be surprised if he is a wanted fugitive and is now fighting for money.

 

I hate to agree with you but I do. Neither this trailer nor the teaser wowed me the way, say, the Black Panther trailers did.

I'm not going to list all the reasons why this is my most anticipated MCU movie but I'm still hoping it will deliver.

Abomination is looking more comic accurate.

I believe I saw ears.  

 

To me the only thing of interest in this trailer was the Abomination/Wong fight, which is most likely a fun cameo/Easter egg sort of situation or possibly a lead in for Shang Chi to fight Abomination for a nice mid-movie fight scene.

I'm really not digging where we are going in phase 4. I have zero interest in this, Eternals, or Black Widow. The MCU D+ series are more of a draw but slightly. At this point I'm leaning more to fatigue than anything, but when you've burned through most of your top tier characters and are moving down to your C, D, and F tier characters it may be a good time to pack it in.

 

I still love Iron Man 3 Mandarin.

 

Well, we are getting new Cap America, Cap Marvel, Black Panther, Thor, Dr. Strange and Spider-Man films-- I wouldn't call those C, D or F tier characters. Shang-Chi is a street level martial artist with supernatural elements-- what else do folks want?

If there's burn out it might be due to the pandemic really jamming up the MCU's momentum. We hit a huge high note with Endgame. Spidey 2 was a good epilogue/transition movie. And then everything just hit a brick wall. Black Widow, Eternals and the Disney+ stuff got pushed out an entire year.

I think Shang-Chi will be a lot of fun in a "low key" kind of way. Similar to Antman. We'll see...!
