I mean what did you expect for a figure that has this alt mode and a bot mode that is supposed to look like it transforms into something completely different at this size and this price point. Could look like crap after seeing it better BUT from what I can see so far it looks aces. IMHO.

 

That would have been neat to get in mainline Siege but the constant fuckery with Target completely kills any interest to me since there's no Target in my country.

Well throughout all of the Bees released, people always wanted two in particular in Generations: a true VW Bug Bee and MTMTE Part 1 Bee. Hasbro finally gave us both, so I think we're happy.

Now, release a third Bumblebee in the next set of Generations figures and the excitement might wane a little, but for now it's good to have some definitive Bees.

I excuse it because I don't know what else they could have done with a figure that size at a $20 price point.

But if it were MP Cybertronian Bee, then it probably rightfully should be nailed the the wall with complaints the same as MP-45 got for all it's kibble hanging off the figure.

The line moves slower because it's been entirely repacks (or slight retools in SS-74's case), and I don't think it has to be an instant sellout to be considered a success. No one here knows "sales data" really, but from my POV, it's doing no better or worse than the Netflix stuff at Wal-Mart (and if that got three waves, Buzzworthy can at least have two).

 

Yeah I wanted the VW and the MTMTE saucer Bumblebees, but I still want a G1 Throttlebot Goldbug!

And a Pretender!

99% of all WFCT and SS86 figures are 1:35 scale, including Netflix Bumblebee. Vehicle modes are irrelevant.

 

Maybe their sales data is more accurate than your personal anecdotes.

I suggested Slamdance from Flywheels, maybe a coincidence.... but maybe not.

The figure itself looks super kibbly but could be charming. I won't be an early adopter on this one, but I will keep my eye on it.

That said, it has so much VW styling in robot mode that it's almost taunting those who couldn't track down Netflix Bumblebee. FIX THAT, HASBRO.

 

that exclusive came out 6-8 months after skytread. It was already being made by the time skytread hit shelves. It was a coincidence

I wasn't being a jerk, your assessment of the figure is flawed. Size doesn't equate to price point. It's not a ripoff either.

Also, after thinking about it a bit, I really do kind of wish they had used this mold for SG Goldbug instead of Cliffjumper

 

Targets in my area have kept this line very well stocked. And if this is in its own case, i'm not worried
