Ouch. Absolutely zero effort taken to design the inside of that box. The first impression of any figure is improved by the interior packaging in a lift-lid box like this. The figure would benefit by putting something on the card backing the figure, even if it's just back and white leopard printing.

 

It all looks the same in the end.

Much as I appreciate a nice presentation, I don't ever expect anything fancy with Select figures.

 

You may not expect something consciously, but good marketing finds a way to increase your anticipation for the NEXT time you open a package. It's all about making it more attractive so you keep coming back. It's why a well-executed gift wrapping is better received than you giving someone a gift in a plain brown paper bag. Same gift, different lasting impression.

 

My lasting impression is the money they’ve saved me by not using fancy packaging that I’m going to throw in the recycle bin.

 

Both Transmutate and G2 Ramjet are starting to arrive in port in the U.S.

Expect some retailers to start receiving stock in the coming weeks or days.

 

The whole idea of the selects packaging is they can go with the most economical solution since they don't need packaging art to sell/ advertise the product on a store shelf.

 

That sounds nice but after buying 19 selects figures in 14 months, no, I don’t expect anything more.

 

I don't care about the packaging. All I want is what's inside the box. And what's inside is looking pretty freaky and cool. Gimme Transmutate, then a new Silverbolt and Rampage!

 

Amazon.co.uk expects release 1st of July. I have preordered there. Could I really wish to have in hand in the first 10 days of the month?

I built my ultimate Transmutate using two regular Transmutates.

I'm happy with her. She's broken and beautiful.
