Its too bad they couldnt do something with the turret in jet mode. Keep in mind I am not a designer by any stretch but I could see it splitting length-wise, with the insides folding out into landing gear? And you could push the 'nozzle' further into the turret ala IF Warpath.

Probably doesnt help that it is oval shaped!

 

For a tank/jet triple changer I want him as big as he can be as long as he isn´t bigger than Overlord (the OS KO of IF by a some company I can´t remember).

But depending on your other figures and or the scale you follow, might be wise to wait on NA or MS...

Actually in TF Devastation, if I remember correctly, the turret sits on the bottom of the ject for some attack. Not elegant, but useful xD

Triple changer aren´t too good at that 'disguise" thing.

im still on the fence here. im glad he is about the same size as astro. but i absolutely hate that waist situation and the thin limbs. it just looks weird in pics. maybe in hand it will be better.

I really dig this guy, but it's a bummer that they still haven't figured out how to do wrist swivel. Kinda shocking to me that all three of their triple-changers - good as they are - miss this articulation point

I also wish Thunderbolt's neck peg was a liiittle shorter. That long, thin neck just looks too weird to me. Still pretty excited to have him, though. I hope the Mechanic Studio line continues, because I think the designer has shown some real talent and skill.

Still looking forward to get my hands on this figure... Bot mode looks pretty awesome, and it's all that matters to me personally.

 

Forgive me for the ignorance but what kinds of recolors can we expect? And is the monstrous head a preorder bonus or an included extra?

 

The engineering is good, but I wasn't expecting that the tank cabin was below the plane form.

 

They'll probably do eHobby Overcharge aka the original Diaclone color scheme.

 

I think he looks somewhat good, but only placeholder good until MS or NA make a better one. Question is do I want to pay $43 for a placeholder? I guess it could be a long time til we get a better Blitzwing.

Agreed. I fucking hate skirt hinges, especially when the whole thing is a single flap that you have to move to achieve any leg movement.

 

It's like those stupid aprons that say KISS THE COOK with a big fake donger under it.
