It is another design problem. Cannot believe noone notices it at all.

If I were warned about it, I would be careful not to transform mine into alternate mode. Now in Cannon alternate mode, the left side purple piece does not seem to stay securely on the purple chest cover clip hole, due to the flatten tab on on left side purple tab.

How does this flaw happen? Can you show a diagram/picture of the clip and the hole it goes into? Can the tab be fixed with super glue to act add thickness/friction?

 

All the pictures are shown above. The Clip Tab is supposed to be pushed in to lock into the chest side hole, but it is too thin and thus has stressmark.

Some of us when we pull out the tab clip, it actually got flattened up one thin layer and when you clip on against into the clip hole, the friction is less and thus no as secured as the another side.

So far, this only happen to the left side of Galvatron.

 

Another design flaw that got through unnoticed. 

Sometimes, the designers are so awesome that the little things manages to sneak pass bye or is this planned obsolescence?

 

I think this tab should be made thicker and also should be slide in, not by force to push in.

 

I transformed mine for more times then I could count but never see this kind of flaw notice.
The tip is to not yank the tab out , instead hold the figure in a specific positon then lift the tab up to pull out.

 

If you apply cyanoacrylate superglue to the tab over the destroyed clip, can it form a thick bump that will hold the tab in place?

 

It will eventually chip or break.

 

So, we must not push the tiny tab by force into the Chest Tab hole right?

We should LIFT the tiny tab UP and then pull out, am I right?

Yes and nope not gonna happen. The tab already shallow so the untabbing process wont cause much stress on the part.

 

I wonder how you could lift up the tiny tab from the tab hole and pull out. There is not enough clearance to do do.

 

Not entire lift up , just lightly lift the part with tab then you will have enough looseness to pull the tab out and push the tab in. I wish i can film the process

My Amazon Galvy arrived today, shoulders are misassembled. Bummer. Will likely return it unopened and roll the dice on my Pulse order coming correct

 

At this point I’ve decided I don’t care what the shoulders look like. If they’re correct, cool! If not, also cool! I just want this figure and I don’t think I have room to be picky.

 

It is not easy to get that tab in when transforming him. The way it is angled, I feel the tab needs to be longer.

 

Totally agree! It should be thicker or make it slide in.

 

CMDStore just updated their Galvatron order page: they do not consider the shoulders to be a "valid" complaint so they are forbidding any returns / refunds for that figure. You're literally buying blind, with no recourse.

 

And that’s absolutely fair.
