So I never got a reply to my query to Bombusbee about why Mercenary's shipping was a lot higher than Grenadier. But I just paid the shipping for Forager and it was the same as Grenadier so can't complain. Haven't received Mercenary yet (it's in transit) so will be interested to see if the box is larger/heavier than the other two.

 

I think the box is longer but slimmer for Mercenary. Grenadier I always thought was the heavier of the three. It is interesting that Mercenary turned out to be the more expensive of the three for shipping.

For those who have both… which is your favorite? I honestly think the purple looks better because it matches the other two, but the (large) portion of my brain that craves screen accuracy. Is it really Thai but a deal? Robotkingdom has gray’s for sale individually but after shipping and everything it will be over $300 JUST for Grenadier and I’m trying to stop myself from such a rash purchase

 

In hand having both after all this time I still feel the same way. Purple looks better, but grey is correct. The grey is in my main display

 

have managed to PO bugs but only purple is available. I think I will be ok with it.

 

If anyone asks me what colors the Insecticons are in the show, I would say purple-black-yellow. I couldn't recall Bombshell was gray at all.

My pet theory is that they forgot to color him.  

Although I want toon design, I'll go with purple and clear yellow chests for Insecticons. It just looks better.

There's no wrong answer, just preference based on what you were drawn to more:
If cartoon nostalgia, gray chest.
If toy nostalgia, purple chest.

If purple chest, translucent chest piece is a must imho.
