Really random and sorry for necroing the thread...

But I managed to get this figure loose last year, as well as PC 15 (the new head and powermaster) but my PC 16 didn't come with the actual replacement chest piece for the Super Ginrai, so I can't actually display the Super Ginrai with the Powermaster displayed as the stock chest piece interferes.

My question is does anyone happen to have a spare chest replacement bit, or have it unused they'd be willing to part with. Preferably UK based to save on crazy brexit postage.

 

Is it possible to use PC-16 jinrai prime with oroginal takara breast plate?

 

Similar question: Does it work with the Hasbro breastplate? My guess is no...

 

With PE's Powermaster installed, definitely no for both.

Without Powermaster, then yes for Takara. Don't have US version anymore to test.

 

Oh! That's encouraging. Now if only Jinrai Prime was still on sale for a reasonable price... He really commands a premium these days.

 

Found Perfect Effect PC-15 at CollecticonToys.com a couple months ago for $60. I couldn't believe it. I'd never heard of Collecticon Toys before but I took a chance and they came through. Sixty bucks at this point in time is absolute gold. It was the last piece I needed to build a second Powermaster Optimus Prime. When I picked up my second PC-16 Jinrai it was about a hundred bucks and I thought that was a lot. Little did I know.

That said, if Hasbro gives us a new one after all that money I've spent, I'm gonna be so sick.

And I'll still probably buy it.

 

Way overpriced, yes. However, with release of Honor Warrior and Dark Warrior, doubt they'll re-issue PC-16.

Hasbro did release the Takara version of the mold with some differences in deco as Magnus Prime, part of the Siege of Cybertron set.

 

Yeah, saw that and it looked great. I'm talking about a new one, though. All new, updated for today, etc. No idea if there are any plans for that, however.

 

Do either of those work with Takara Super Ginrai? Been wondering, actually.

 

They do not, I think there's pics in those threads showing them to not be compatible.

I still have my PC16 for sale, open to reasonable offers but don't expect to get a super deal on it, we all know how much demand there is for this guy.

 

Damnn might aswell get a make toys thunder manus.. I think he’s built a lot better then takara Ginrai.

 

He's also more Legends class than standard. If I could find TM for a reasonable price, or a KO thereof, I'd have one. I could use a Legends class Ginrai.

 

In terms of being compatible and plugging in correctly, no. You can certainly wedge them in there but the appropriate connections will not be made...and he'll be headless.

What is his market value? I don't even see any others in sold items on ebay.

 

I know in Singapore, the value has gone up to about sgd 350.

 

Roughly $300, the last couple I saw pop up. Hundred dollars at this point in time was a steal.

 

Weird. I am selling my TT God Ginrai with all the perfect effect add-ons including PC-16 and never got any offer.

 

While the main figure can sometimes be found for under a hundred dollars now and then, the three Perfect Effect kits are all long out of production and almost impossible to find unless someone decides to sell theirs. I would guess that each of those is probably worth at least a hundred each, and that's on the low end. Point being, the set ends up being very expensive.

Maybe people just don't want to spend that much or they don't wanna insult you by lowballing. I dunno.
