The more I hear about this movie, the worse it sounds. I have no idea how they're gonna have a 5-faction free-for-all and have it actually tell a coherent story.

I've waited 20 years for Beast Wars to get their turn in the Nostalgia Machine, and it's finally here, but it seems... bad.

I reckon that the factional divide won’t really be as prominent. The Maximals and Autobots are practically the same faction, and I personally think the Predicon presence will likely be minimal, as either solely part of a flashback/explanation of the Maximal backstory, or there will only be a few of them and they’ll have to put their differences aside in order to join the Bots and Maximals to stop the Terrorcons. I envision it mainly being “Everyone Vs. Terrorcons” type of deal. Heck, I don’t even think the Cons will have a big part of the movie, by the sound of it.

They should have made a new big baddie Predacon that was a big orange bear that loved honey. That should go over well in China.

 

I know I should be fair, and people are getting hyped, and I'm sure people will like it, but from my experiences in life, this just sounds like it's going to be an unfocused mess. I'd love to be proven wrong, but it just sounds like way too many things are being crammed in, and almost every movie I've seen like that has been really bad.

From toy stand point, I think vehicle based toys sell far better than animal based... I know kids/adults are more excited to see fancy sport cars, jets, etc rather than mouse, cheetah, gorilla.. lol.

 

Actually, apparently Kingdom sells better than Earthrise and it can work, I will keep my expectations low but I think Caple is capable of pulling it.
