Mine is in China export customs. Probably be there for a couple more days before it gets shipped to Manila.

 

ordered one myself given the price is a third/quarter of the original, has been oversized with the alternative wing design which is detachable, and the extra swords/flame accessories. can't wait!

here's hoping they also do absolute zero/cryotek as well!  

 

My copy literally just arrived the last hour so I’m still getting the feel of him. I’ll probably do a proper review soon.

The highlight of the toy for me is its size. It costs the same price as a Kingdom Voyager (I don’t have one right now) and I’m assuming it’s around the same size. Here he is fresg out of the box side-by-side with Counterpunch (old deluxe) and Doubledealer (old voyager). As you can see, he’s a big boy! If you can get him at USD20-25, go for it!


Instructions aren’t very helpful. Add that to my poor eyesight (I’m getting old) and transformation is more of a gut feel process. There are probably only a handful of parts with pegs to lock together. I feel everything just hangs on there with friction. The dragon mode is definitely a dragon (not lizard lol). Here he is with Doubledealer (new leader class).


There are parts which just hang on hinges, especially on the dragon neck part below the head, and where the tail meets the body. This guy is a prime candidate for a Wipe n Shine bath to make sure everything stays in place in the long run. There are also a LOT of paint imperfections mostly below the dragon neck on his spines.

pin hinge which splays out when transforming to dragon mode needs a very slight drop of wipe n shine to tighten it up a bit. Ball joint of leg swivel is nice and smooth: not loose but not too tight.

 

Hopefully means it won't fucking explode like the original. Cheers.

if there’s one thing that triggered me, it’s the squared off / angled hinges do not work. Aside from the friction of the hinge, the non-rounded part is supposed to hold the piece in place. These are the hinges connecting the tail to dragon body and the hinge on the dragon head that goes down to hide the fist.

Honestly was like that on the original so doesn't bother me personally. Long as the hips fucking work I am good.
