I received a shipping notice today from eBay CheerToys for FT-46? What's up with that? I pinged the seller and inquired.

When is this thing likely to be able to preorder on showz. I'm at that point with fanstoys now where if I don't get it I don't get it, but I guess I will sorta try lol. I say sorta because putting effort into it i know I'll just get disappointed!

Show.Z put Perceptor 2.0 up for preorder in Februari 2020 when he was first shown during a toy convention. This is when I snagged a preorder for myself, but he has had the 'sold out' status for a while now and I doubt that they will get additional stock to meet demand. Though I don't work for Show.Z, and really do not know for sure, so this is all just a hunch based on prior experience with them.

Yeah that happens with most of their releases, they usually get more stock nearer to release but I've no idea when this guy is scheduled for release.

I never said it wasn't simple, all I said that we don't know their exact motive, whether nefarious or with good intent. Nor do I know the truth, my name is not Dalianjj, nor do I work with or for Fans Toys.

I absolutely agree that what you bring up is VERY likely, but again, nothing is set in stone. I personally, all cards off the table, wanna believe it's cause of the combiners at least to a degree (what i've seen seems to line up with them more than anything) but I lose hope as the time passes with no photos of any of the final limbs coming out, and FT's silence certainly isn't helping, IMO.

Also, no right to complain cause i'm paying the price, eh?

All I will say is this. I damn well know I come off as a huge fucking hypocrite by complaining, yet paying the prices.

You do you, my friend, but i'm going to be going with my own flow as well.

But there's a lot of people who won't or can't pony up, yet really want what FT puts out because of the shady increases. We're a community, I care about my community, and i'm looking out for my community by saying my piece. Yeah, what a problem that is.

I feel ya, man. I've legit seen the SHF DBZ market here in the States almost look like a mini version of the Fans Toys market.

SSJ4 and SSJ3 Goku going out of stock in mere minutes...

    upload_2021-6-23_19-34-13.png

Tamashii Web exclusives like the Ginyu Force going up on the secondary market for double the MSRP...

    upload_2021-6-23_19-33-25.png

And I feel it won't stop there. This kinda stuff is why i'm glad I buy from Anime-Export rather than domestics.

Not to mention the horror stories i've heard from the Macross/Robotech collectors. I'm personally not even going deep into them, i've got the main cast in my Pile of Loot as those Kitzconcept figures, and I legit might just put FT Phoenix there instead of a proper Valkyrie when the official MP Skyfire comes out, and that'll likely be it, haha.

Yeah, sucks to hear, my guy. This kinda shit is why I keep going with domestics for the most part. The only time I shopped with Baba was when I needed to get a PO in for Beachcomber REALLY REALLY late. Thankfully that went without a hitch and my first FT figure came without a single issue, but did come with a single cryptic payment request email, haha.

I can't say anything for certain, but from what I at least see, either ShowZ has a static number already of stock that they get from FT, or they later on add on more once they get a more concrete number from Fans Toys.

Nope. Not until November. Next release up is either the Springer or Swoop reissues, both of which are slated for July, though Springer seems more likely.

Just got this message from ebay seller Cheertoys:
    20210623_192819.jpg
Think cheertoys is legit? This bothers me coz the delivery time on the listing was by sep 9th or something. Does this push potentially push me out of the safety window if it goes sideways?

I remember this coming up before with pre-orders on eBay, like even Baba used to send something before a product released because of the time deadlines with eBay after purchase or because eBay doesn’t want people doing pre-orders. I can’t remember what it was really about though.

They’ve been good by me but it’s always a little risky pre-ordering on eBay when the release is a long way off.

From what i've heard, Cheertoys IS legit, and guessing that the cutoff for your safety window would be 90 days... that takes you into the middle of September. Unfortunately while your delivery date is Sept. 9th, Perceptor isn't slated till Nov/Dec.

I think so. You need to do it at least in the window. And even then you could be screwed by a delay (though unlikely)
This is why I don’t do preorders on eBay.

Just open an item not recieved case after sept 9th (or within 30 days of it) and leave it open until your item arrives.

Item not received with PayPal eh? Does PayPal let that hang on for a new delivery date if both parties agree in the case? If so, then that's a good path.

If the estimated delivery date is September 9th, you have 30 days from that date to file a claim through Ebay. With Paypal you have 180 days from the time you actually paid. I think Ebay escalations are usually more effective in terms of getting a refund though.

I've used ebay escalations and for the most part it was perfect in getting me a refund. PayPal is pretty good too if the seller doesn't provide a tracking # to confirm it was actually shipped yet. Thanks for reminding about the 180 days... that might just be enough time...
I think I'll see this one through for as far as I can.

Thanks for all the replies everyone!

The objective lens is lower on the left picture, in the picture of the three microscopes. Could Fans Toys be making it a working microscope, like the G1 toy?

And if that doesn't work you can dispute it through your financial institution debit/credit card.
