The movie news is definitely interesting!
When I first heard "Scourge" and the whole beast thing the first thing to come to mind was the Cybertron design. I hope the final design is cool and gets a great toy!

They're all so fun in their own way.... If you put a gun to my head, I'll say Hightower just because of how much I like his unique design.

I think the Constructicons are a great set, the toys manage to capture their quirks and they make for a really cool display. Devastator himself is compromised but he's still a good size and I think the combining is executed well considering this thing was developed and released over 2 years. It's one of the most ambitious projects Hastak has done, definitely.

 

Personally, I feel complete apathy with the movie (which can be argued is worse than hate.) Though that's moreso because of the current state of mediocre to bad cartoons, movies (except BB 2018 lol), video games, and heavy G1 push since 2015 rather than the movie details we got. Don't worry, I won't make a stink about it because I let people enjoy the things they like lol. I hope it's good and the designs are unique and inspired, but we shall see

 

Yeah if any of them call for an OSKO it'd be him! I wouldn't even care if he didn't combine with anything, since he's a whole set piece by himself.

Eh screw them. All the director's said about anything is "we're making Optimus more G1" over and over.

RotF is easily the best movieverse game, with it being the second best overall Transformers game after FoC. IMO, of course.

Being completely honest, I feel you missed the boat on the most fun part of the set, which was collecting each individual constructicon one by one. That way was more fun to build the anticipation of the combiner, and allowed me to appreciate each member on their own instead of them immediately being combined up, which is clearly what the set wants you to do since I believe they're all packaged in their limb modes.

What evidence do you have of this? Why do people automatically assume that hasbro just doesn't want to give us cool things cause they're hateful or something? KOs are zero evidence about hasbro's anything. They are painting up something that already exists. I do that all the time with my figures and I don't think to myself "man hasbro could be doing all this but they're just too shitty to care".

Yes this is easily my biggest worry because it's happened for literally every single Transformers movie even the 86 movie.

Got some custom SS Optimus heads from dino_model_shop on instagram, looks amazing, apparently supposed to remove when transforming (but I haven't tried yet). Didn't fit at first, so had to sand down the ball joint, which sacrifices the original head from fitting tightly (but I also don't think I'll ever use the original head again anyways)

 

How crazy is it that we'll have beasts in this thread one day.

I feel like this movie will be a slight retread of the Kingdom storyline with Autobots and Maximals working together. Hasbro’s been a fan of using the same storylines with a different coat of paint lately

Funny how the 86 movie is the worst performing Transformers movie to date but it gets a lot of attention.

Looks amazing! I ordered the jetpower masked head from him. Should be here soon, but you’re making a very strong case for me getting the regular unmasked head too. It looks like it should fit inside the chest cavity with some minor modifications. Let me know how it goes with yours and if you can get it to fit for transformation.

 

I have 3 SS Optimus (the ss05 I don't use, just got it for the blades), and also getting the rumored premium finish one, so I got 3 heads total for each bot. I had to sand the ball joint all the way to the clear plastic and it is still a tight fit, but it pops off really easy too... Which is a bit odd but I don't think it'll sit well enough to transform either

 

Yeah, but it can't be helped, I didn't start collecting SS until last year. With the prices of Scrapmetal and Longhaul, this was the only way I was ever going to complete them. The improved paint apps are a nice bonus - though I'm not positive I prefer them on Longhaul. And you're right, they do come already in combined mode in the box. I'm sure I'll start off by combing him, but I'll transform them into their individual vehicles and robots and and display them in those modes at times as well.

 

I'm glad all of the members gets a vote (I'm lumping Skipjack with Rampage).

Being the first means a lot it seems, I didn't know it performed poorly considering how well liked it is.

 

Just got a notice that my DNA kit for MPM Ironhide shipped from ShowZ. Really excited to try it out and hopefully breath some new life into that figure. Ironhide is my favourite character from the live action series, but his MPM was really disappointing overall.

 

I can't believe Nightbird will be a Gtr. I've always wanted to drift to be at GTR but this will be nice if they can get the license for a toy

 

The praise that game gets is a big part of why I'm even looking at them to begin with, along with how cheap they can be found for now.

A quick question as someone trying to complete my SS Devastator set. I have six of the official SS Constructicons with only Overload and Long Haul being the only ones left to get before completion. Since I can't find their official molds for a good price on Amazon are there any KOs of the two on Amazon that aren't oversized that I can use as alternatives and if so can anyone link me to them? If anyone's able to thanks a million!
