Second of all, the logic he's using is void considering the bay films pretty much destroyed the franchise's reputation with the GA.

With the apparent lack of a G1 Megatron, I'm wondering if we would see a beast Megatron or if they'll go Meg-less completely.

It's cool that we actually got actual character description right out the gate. Sounds like the director is actually putting thought into these guys. The interview with Caple has me excited about what he has in store for Prime. The way he worded things makes me hopeful that it won't be tied to the Bayverse after al. It seems that it was more the interviewer implying that.

 

I know. I think it’s cool that we get to see the beast era characters, but it seems like….. a lot. They are introducing a lot of characters at one time and the potential there is the robots just being prop pieces with no real characterization. It’s scary just seeing the past results of too much in too little time, but maybe they figured out the formula now.

 

Okay I just have to say a piece of my mind after reading this. It's not a good representation of G1 the same way transformers prime isn't. Because it's not supposed to be. Okay I'm done, back to lurking.

Why have Bee transform into a Camaro with an offroad kit?  He was a Jeep before...  Just make him turn into a Jeep Wrangler or a CJ5  

 

From what I'm gathering by reading what we know about the movie, the focus will be mainly on Optimus Prime as a leader and his evolution as a character.
Also, the main villains are the Terrorcons and not the Predacons. If the rumor about a possible future beast wars movie is true, I can see how Rise of the Beasts, if proven successful, may lead to a full-fledged Beast Wars movie.
A movie that will actually be called "Beast Wars" and will be focused on the actual conflict between Maximals and Predacons, happened in the past. Maybe Beast Megatron has been killed during that time, so this is the reason why he's not present in RotB.
Just wild speculation on my part, but it's fun to think about the possibilities.

Been chuckling to myself today imagining the heinous lack of restraint Michael Bay would have had were he directing this...

Can almost guarantee the opening scene would be Primal taking a dump in his own hand to throw at an overly 'roided T-Rex Megatron.
Maybe had plenty of leg-lifting animal pee "humor" involving the other beasts... at least one animal bot humping a human...

So glad the franchise is in better hands, though I very dearly want to see Bonaventura given the sack once and for all.

The overabundance of factions in this synopsis worries, me I feel like they won't all be given a fair due.
Also I don't like the "faction symbol ripping off", part of what annoyed me so much with the Bayverse was the "bloodthirstiness"
Bay kept introducing, either through Murder Prime or guys getting disemboweled or their faces ripped off...
I mean, G1 didn't have to turn into a horror fest to be cool, no reason to make these films gory just because they're "robots".

There was a plot leak.

the Predacons disappeared millions of years ago, after their leader Megatron, looking for the golden disks vanished into the ice. Now the new Terracons are searching for their leader when he was accidentally awakened by humans beneath the basement of the Hoover Dam, where the previous megatron was kept.  

 

...well if this one explicitly ties into the michael bay films, i'll lose all interest in watching it: what a fumble that would be after bumblebee...
