So what is the “gun issue” with the metallic version that showz mentions on their site?

 

Think it’s just the big guns and swords that come with combiner or Dinobot sized characters that look like butter knife sized that are causing issues.

They sent mine at end of February. I just got it last week (mid june). So there are shipping issues since it normally takes about 18 to 21 days.

 

They messaged me and said they are now upgrading all of these sets with better shipping, so I think I will be getting it more rapidly than you did. I guess they realized their economy shipping option was an issue with this set, and that’s why they no longer ship this way.

 

I really don't understand the issue at all. They've said its because of the sword and specifically they said at one point because of batteries being shipped, not necessarily the plastic sword. This makes more sense! I received my Gigapower Grassor yesterday and it doesn't come with included batteries so what really caused the problem? X-transbots trailer for Menasor shipped with no problem at all and has a sword 3 times the size of the Gigapower bots and Motormaster has an equal size sword and went right through as well and both were purchased and shipped about a month after Grassor shipped and I received them a couple weeks ago. This shit makes no sense!

My Superitron is moving along with a normal tracking history but it's too early to know if it's going to get returned. All the other returns I paid attention to took about a week moving through the system before they hit the point that they were caught and flagged for return. After that it took 3 to 4 weeks time before ShowZ was able to turn it around on a reship. I'm hoping they can shorten that time frame if they have a better plan of attack now that they seem to be dealing with returned parcels on a regular basis. Its gotta be cheaper in the long run to spend a few bucks more on better/quicker shipping to start rather than continuously trying the cheaper way just to end up in returns because I doubt they are getting their money back or credit on failed shipping attempts.

 

My superitron didn’t come with batteries as zeta never had them included so it’s not the batteries. Also doesn’t come with a sword which would make more sense flagging as this is obviously a toy gun way to small to appear real. It’s an odd issue and is really pretty dumb on whoever the imbeciles are flagging these. The only one that would have made sense would be Megatron. Even then they just had to put an plastic orange piece on the end. large swords I guess I could see except where in the world is it illegal to buy a knife?

just got mine last week....no sword. Looking on their own site there is no mention of a sword nor is there one in all of the pictures they show. Not sure why they say that.

 

Can confirm. There is no sword, just a big gun. There's also the diecast chest piece but there's no way that could be considered a knife or sword in any way.

 

I think they're saying the it's same type of issue as Grassor's Sword. Just something the post office doesn't like so they're sending it back.

 

Maybe these large packages fall into a certain category that is giving ShowZ better pricing and the shipping companies involved are being greedy and want more money to send them or don't want to be bothered send a large parcel for little money so they get flagged for return.

So far between Gigapower Grassor, Zeta Superitron, Toyworld Prime, Fans Hobby Double Evil, and KO Mazinger Z only a couple can be blamed for sword or battery related issues yet the only thing they have in common is being large because they are big bots or come with accessories that take up a lot of room.

Months ago ShowZ or any other store should have realized this was a problem that was snowballing and bit the bullet sending orders with better or different shipping to just take care of their customers or if they were that worried about profit margin just post a note on certain items saying "hey, unfortunately these items are causing problems so we have to charge a little something for shipping" or just raise the price a little like they recently did.

Constantly continuing to send the same products (that always get returned) out using the same shipping is B.S. and is pissing a lot of people off and blatantly wasting time. As I said before, multiple Superitrons were returned before I placed my order and they still sent mine the same way, WTF!

 

I think you take the term "closet collector" a bit literal.

 

Yea I have alotta people over to my house alot and Im not so open about my hobby. I like being able to put it away.

 

I have a friend who has his entire Lego Star Wars collection in a basement closet because his wife won't let him display it elsewhere.

 

"Wife wont let", that sucks! He can't even use the basement, it's still in the closet! Some people have it worse than others. My wife doesn't care that I have mine displayed in our living room and gets involved with them from time to time even though it's not her type of thing.
