this is because Hasbro Studios and it's product development are just right next door from the venue.

 

I just don't see having the budget to travel that far for one of these. I guess if there is an exclusive I will go to ebay for it. Same thing with the Optimus Ghostbusters mash up. Paid retail plus ticket price to an ebayer. They were happy and so was I.

Is there a difference between the kinds of content and fandom that come to TFCon LA vs TFCon in Maryland?

I live in California so I'm inclined to go to TFCon-LA, but I'm wondering where the fanfiction writers, fan artists, and cute merch (Etsy for example) folks tend to congregate.

 

There is an artist alley at both shows and fans of each at both as well.

 

I’ve been to a handful of TFCons over the years, for the most part, a show in California vs a show elsewhere you’ll get pretty much the same fans and artists, writers and dealers. The one big difference is that a show in the Los Angeles area should have a much bigger voice actor guest list since they’re close to Hollywood.

 

Thanks. I was concerned that an LA-area con might be more like a Creation Entertainment kinda thing, but I live in San Francisco, so LA is definitely easier for me to get to.

 

I also live in San Francisco and made the drive to LA (Burbank) when TFCon first had a show there in 2018. It was really fun and I’m looking forward to next year’s event!

Yeah, I love Micro Center but they are about an hour away over by where I grew up. Thankfully that gives me an excuse to go over to that part of town.
