This is the original and the same Gaiking.

 

WOW! Yeah, so we could be looking at NA prices being close to 1k.

 

That GX-100 Gaiking seems to have the same old body frame and stuff as GX-27 (gx-01R frame?).

Would've been nicer perhaps if Bandai used the newer DC body frame.

Was never impressed with GX-05 Daiku Maryu, so not really sure what's the appeal of super-sizing it other than to house GX-27.

As such, I would have much preferred an FA-Gaiking release instead.

 

Yeah. I think unsurprising Bandai didn’t update. Kind of like using Blackwing on their old Dancouga. Some of those decisions are hard to understand however I am okay with this as I like the old Gaiking in that it’s representative of old Chogokin.

 

Oh I don’t think so. I bet it’s no more expensive than a DX if that.

 

Obviously not literate in Japanese, I took a look at the 82500 and thought that might have been the MSRP, but for all I know it could be weight or something.

Nope you’re right that’s a symbol for Yen. It’s like $745ish.

 

It'll be interesting to find out the actual figure.

Thought Wotafa's supposed to do some reveal about it.

 

So, maybe pushing 850 to 900 when BBTS lists it. I was aiming high for the import mark-up.

 

I hope that promo shot has me excited for a new figure.

Holy crap $750+??? What would justify that cost? Is it really big and/or extremely complicated engineering?

 

I hope we get the other Arc Getters. And SOC Shin Getters would be nice too.

 

that Daiku Maryu is huge if Gaiking is "normal" sized.

If they actually update Gaiking, they have to have a release without the Daiku Maryu later, right?

 

Oh dang it I think the D2 is going to be a web exclusive. It will most likely be brought over by bluefin but would’ve liked to have imported at a cheaper price.

 

I was expecting left field but instead it was a bunt. Not knocking the figure but all that hype for something they already showed.
