Saw the same option a few & thought about it.

 

It ships to store, and once it arrives you roll up to Customer Service and show them the order/barcode.

So when I was working at Target this time last year, they had in their ad the sales (and which days) that would essentially be going up against Prime Days… like day one was housewares and decor, and day two was electronics and toys. This year they only have “three days of savings,” with today starting off with groceries (I’m assuming for Father’s Day). I suspect they’ll still follow what they did last year and T-Wrecks will drop on Tuesday for the last day  
That all said, they’re also pushing the RedCard as well… if you sign up for the debit card (you’ll need a check for in-store or your routing number for online), they will literally give you a coupon for $40 off a $40 purchase… so for all of you whining about not wanting a credit card, get the debit so it comes out of your checking account, and you can get T-Wrecks for $10… pretty sweet deal. That all said, you do have to wait for your card to come in the mail, so you’d have to wait the 10 days before trying to order him… hopefully he won’t sell out. We probably should have checked on that beforehand, because this deal has been going on since the 13th.
Anywho, just a tiny update with a little bit more information. If anything, get a RedCard now while you can get that coupon… you also save 5% off anything in the store, including Starbucks. As an ex-employee, I still use mine… it’s really not hurting you if you use the debit.

 

I really don't get why anyone would choose debit card over credit card. If your card's info gets stolen, and money is taken from your checking, it'll take awhile for you to get your money back from the bank, where if it's stolen from the credit card, it's their money that is stolen, and you just fill out a form saying which purchases you didn't make on the card.

Having my credit card numbers stolen once already many years back, and knowing folks that have had their debit card numbers stolen, my experiences fixing the problem went MUCH easier than those I know that had to wait to get their money back from the bank.

 

It's been a while, but when I signed up you got your number right away...or at least a barcode you could use as a temporary card.

But that was several years ago so that may have changed.

 

Blackarachnia1996 was referring to the $40 off $40 coupon which comes with the physical card. I signed up for the credit card a few days ago for this and am awaiting my card. I have a temp number for now but not the coupon. Will probably have to use the coupon on Roadrage if she goes up after I get it.

 

That and the temporary card doesn’t work for online orders… the numbers below the barcode isn’t the credit card number.
Be careful on waiting for Roadrage… that coupon will have an expiration date, and I’m not so sure it will be good through November

Also, I get wanting to wait to use the coupon for T-Wrecks, but at the same time if you shop at Target enough that $40 will come in handy grocery shopping or buying other stuff you typically use.

 

I signed up online and it let me go ahead and tie the card to my account. As for the coupon, I believe it expires in August. If Roadrage is released in November I will have to find something else to use it on. The nearest Target to me is 80 miles so I don't shop with them much, mostly online, and their stock sucks.

I’m sure you can use the coupon online, and with the RedCard you get free shipping… so like Hybrid mentioned if you need to, stock up on some toilet paper and other household items and have it shipped to you  

 

Well dang, seems it\'s not going up as part of targets toy day of there 3 day sale.  And nothing from hasbro about transformers Tuesday ether...  I thought for sure today would be the day.  What are they waiting for?

Agreed, but for something like target you just get the card, put the info into the app, and shred the card. The risk of that info being stolen and used it pretty low after that.

 

Didn't Targets systems get hacked a few years ago?
