I’ve never even heard of it, let alone had an issue with either of the two Megs I own.

The eyes fell out of mine, I had to look in the carpet for an hour till I found them.

When I found them I promptly super glued them in.

I also colored them with a Gundam marker, but we're getting off track...This is an Optimus thread.

    Uh...How's about that trailer?...

Why are we talking about Megs in a Prime topic :p
I will watch out for it anyway, few hours sleep and I should get Megatron later today.

Got megs last week, thanks for the warning.

hmm, the trailer, huh… I’m one of those who wishes the trailer was sold separately,
but I understand why it isn’t. I just rarely use altmodes, and from a cartoon perspective, I don’t think it served a purpose other than transport, did it?

But I do have one ask- please box OP in botmode!

I like the idea of a mini MP-44. Sounds cute

Well to me it’s pretty obvious that they took the sculpt and part of the transformation engineering of MP-44 and scaled it down. In one of the photos of the prototype you can see MP-44 in the background. On one hand I’m annoyed that they are stealing TT’s work, but on the other hand this figure does not currently compete with anything TT is selling so I’m fine with it. I think this figure looks incredible for its size and I will most likely be buying their Menasor and Devastator as well. Probably their Megatron but I’m not sure yet. If I end up getting tiny seekers I think I’m going to go with New Age because the transformation looks a lot more fun.

The main purpose of these little figures would be as deskbots that I can mess with during boring Skype meetings. I currently have an Earthrise Prime on my desk for that purpose and I’ve really enjoyed it.

Is that the top of the cab on his back? Been trying to figure out the basic transformation.I can tell the chest windows are inside out but not sure how they flip…

    Because it's magic!.

In fact, it is, you have a sharp eye. I can't imagine the insane engineering that it could have. Lately the transformation of MST fogures are amazing.

This figure will be more expensive because of the engineering and we don't know anything about the paint yet. This could be the most engineered MS figure to date.

Oh yes they clearly inspired from MP-44 to create this mold. Everything just shouts MP-44 except for the lack of backpack (as electronics were removed of course). On the other hand, it's a completely different figure because of its scale and because it looks simpler made, less panel-ly, and just overall cleaner. I love MP-44 but I would love an upscaled MS OP V2 even more.
That transformation looks the same as MP-44's too. You can clearly think the chest windows open and rotate so you can shut them by showing their other side. The top of the cab forms the back by making all of the head and shoulder assembly rotate up and rest inside the cab behind these chest windows.

It uses MP-44 as a base so many of the steps will be similar. The windows most likely transform the same way. The backpack is most likely the truck grill and bumper. You can see the sides of the bumper tucked in behind the backpack.

I have ordered MS Megatron to go with this figure, but I have a feeling they may do a Megs V2 to better match the look of this one. Maybe. Anyway I'm falling head first into the Legends scale rabbit hole. These little things are pretty pricey when you are trying to catch up and buy a bunch at once. Motormaster is pretty expensive by himself, but with the other stunticons it's a lot of cash. And I would like to get all 3 New Age seekers, etc. Ouch!

I think it’s vice-versa, this new Prime will match Megatron better than their v1.

I don't think they will make a V2 Megatron. Theirs is already pretty spot-on so there is no need for it. Also I am thinking they never upscaled it to make it MP scale. So maybe they won't upscale this OP...

My dream is a MP scale Megs and Optimus v2.

Beware, there's and "upgraded" version on the way of the MP scale MST Optimus metallic paint, not pictures shown yet

I’d agree with the exception of all the double-jointed articulation.

I know a lot of you in this thread seem to think MS Megatron is good to go, but I think it looks really out of whack next to the old MS Prime as well as the new one. That chest is out of control wide. He's also very blocky and primitive looking all over. It looks like one of TT's transformation test prototypes before they refine the sculpt. I still ordered one and I think it's an impressive little figure, I just think there's lots of room for improvement so I won't be surprised if there is a V2 down the road. Hopefully not for a while because I most likely won't even get mine for at least a month because of Covid shipping. :)

I too think that MS Megatron looks way better in hand but i also think that his chest is far from perfect. No TT Arcee situation here yet
overall way cleaner than MP-36, and this is coming from someone who loves the somewhat messy Frankensteinian MP-36.
I don't know if i'm comparing apples with oranges but still, i'd love to see MS Megs in MP scale as i'd love to see this new MS OP in MP scale...

If they ever upscale it, maybe they will refine it.
