i won a KO MISB hellbat just before xmas, and paid right away with paypal, the seller claimed that it would take 7-10 days to ship to Canada, with the shipping service i paid for. it did not arrive. The seller has 100% positve feedback into the thousands, and all his feedback claims fast shiping. The seller claimed to have 25 of these KO boxed hellbats ( he showed me pics of his warehouse.... yeah, he has a SHITLOAD of transformers too) so, he sais he will ship another..... this time however, i tell him that i'm moving in 1 month, and need it to arrive by then. he says no problem.... NOTHING.

The seller offered a refund, but i refused and asked if he cold find out what extra i would need to pay to have tracking and insurance and express, sent to my NEW address. he says he will pay the difference due to the troubles i'm having, but to put in a claim to paypal anyway, and just pay him again whenitem arrives. i go for that, and he sends me a tracking number this morning.

    Here's the message;

    "RRXXXXXXXXXIT

This is an italian's post code , you can't track it from your post office only from italian's post offices"

so i spend about 30 minutes looking over italian post office sites for a place to put this number to get confirmation, and the only one i find is in strict Italian, and from what i can tell by all the familiar RED warning text, is that something is wrong with it.

I've messaged the seller again if he can provide a link to a site where i can track this, but do any of you know of where i can go, and have any of you had issues with Italian post?

PLEASE HELP. this is the 3rd hellbat he's sent out to me, and i have no reason to belive he's screwing with me based on his feedback and he DOES have the inventory.

Italy's postal system sucks (just look... Most Asian sellers won't even send there. And it's not because they're mad Italians stole the idea of noodles). Once the package reaches Canada (if it ever does) you can use the number in the Canada Post website.

Can't you type the Italian Post website link into Babelfish and have it translate for you? Then you'll have at least some idea what's up.

ok, tried babblefish, and i got:
Not still available information. It monitors the precision of the data and test to repeat the search more late or contact the post office of reception or the green number 803,160.

why must it be this hard to deal with itally???

No idea, but it's one of my least favorite places to deal with international shipments to and from at work.

Yeah, most international auctions will always say 'sorry, no Italy bidders please' because of these headaches. Best to end it quickly and quietly and find another somewhere else. the headaches aren't worth it.

For a real scare check out the International Trading section on eBay's discussion forum. On one occasion about 1/4 of the threads I saw dealt with Italy.

Also, some eBay sellers don't sell toys to Italy b/c it's something like non-wood toys aren't allowed to be shipped there.

Damn, I guess I was lucky. I sold a guy a MISB Armada Unicron, and sent it Priority Internation, with insurance, and he got it in like a week. Needless to say I now know why he was so grateful to get it so quickly.

Odd, I'm sure Italy is where my brother's games were meant to be coming from. He bought a couple that never turned up, something came into the country and netted a customs charge, but it's never been seen since...

Weird, I hope things work out for you. I'm going to add "Italy" as a place never to buy from, I've got enough stress as it is.

Hi, first post here. I've been lurking the forums for a while, and i thought i actually could try to help here, since i'm italian :redface2: .

I agree italian post service is an infinite source of problems; most of the international parcels (both in and out, it seems) are checked in only one factory, and months could pass before you finally receive them. Not to mention taxes/custom fees they apply.

Anyway, this is the page i usually put the tracking codes in the official italian post website: http://www.poste.it/online/dovequando/index.jsp.
On the right you have various kinds of parcels and shippings, i suggest you to try with "Paccocelere Internazionale" or EMS; the former should be the right one, anyway.

If i can help in any way (translating or something else), feel free to ask or send me a PM.

And sorry for grammar mistakes :dunce .

For all the talk about sending TO Italy, Wheeljaxx is talking about receiving FROM Italy, which I imagine is a meaningful distinction (i.e. he doesn't have to worry about it clearing through Italian customs as people talk about), even though some of the same problems could potentially be faced.

That's too bad man, I'm sure he's not trying to rip you off with that feedback record and inventory.

Care to say what seller it is?

I've just won a few mosc classic combiner bots from an Italian seller, I hope all goes well with that (I have won and received one of those from Italy before).

seller, who is AMAZING to deal with, just bad postal service, is megoioni

i have indeed had issues with italy post sending TO people in italy, one trade on this board is effected, and i no longer sell to italy without insurance and tracking atleast.

i am recieving a refund, on the sellers own doing, but he has sent another hellbat for me. I will pay him again when it arrives. he is that good to deal with. i trust him, but not the post.

    update

I have been trying to contact the seller for help, with no luck, still, on the italian post trackin system i get the same.." no info available" type message and tells me to call a number.

so, today, i just decide and try putting the number into canada post tracking and IT'S REGISTERED!!!!

the tracking info tells me it;s cleared customs and is in Missisauga for processing.

should be in halifax within the week.

Italy seems to be a postal black hole that's for sure, they've had a bad rep ever since I can remember too. Good thing you got an Ace seller on this though, hope you get it soon man.
