If you're planning on picking this one up, then you made the right choice selling. I don't do Beast Wars anymore but I had the 30th and I've seen this one and to me this one is much better. Quality looks improved and something about the headsculpt seems so much better. The only thing I think 30th was better on was his weapons. These are a little small but overall they're fine. I think you'll be happy having this guy instead

If I can get Kingdom Rhinox for sale, I'll probably pick him up. Otherwise I'm good with my T30 one.

Both has their pros and cons, but both have dainty feet compared to the animation model.

Here's comparison shots from Larkin's Lair review and Rhinox from the cartoon for anyone else on the fence:

The T30 Rhinox seems to be selling on eBay for beau coup bucks at the moment. At least you are basically getting a free Kingdom Rhinox and made a few bucks, yeah?

Am I the only one who got distracted a lot by the random green on his shoulder? I know it's part of the joint, but should've hide it better :(

It looks like Rhinox is growing a mold.

You might not depending on what your preferences are. If you just want something for display, T30 works better and looks better to me IMO. My copy is sloppy once you get to the legs though, it’s a shame because of how good the figure is otherwise. The Kingdom one handles better but has looser outward shoulder joints by comparison. Neither figure completely outdoes the other but the negative qualities impact both molds pretty hard.

20210620_223449.jpg I'm thinking of swapping out the stock forearms for the T30's. I much prefer those hands.

Okay, so I was going to pass on Kingdom Rhinox, but my daughter got it for me for Father's Day. What was I going to say, that I didn't want it?
Well yeah, I didn't, but she's my kiddo so it was appreciated and will always be in the collection.

That said, I seriously do NOT like it.
Some comparisons to the vastly superior T30 version:
    20210621_063912.jpg 20210621_063934.jpg
Realistic rhino on the right, lump on the left.

    Head sculpts- one has character...
    20210621_072828.jpg
    ...the other is lifeless.
    20210621_072833.jpg

And the coup de gracie, the bot modes:
    20210621_072822.jpg
For me, the T30 version is just flat out better looking. Kingdom may have a few better joints, but the transformation is anything but fun. Flexing plastic is never desirable, and those legs just scream "lack of durability" over time.
To me, T30 is just a more enjoyable figure.

I just don't understand why they thought pea soup green was the way to go.

The T30 is more screen accurate than the new toy. How does that happen?

Yeah, I ended up returning this. It just felt like a lazy half-hearted afterthought. The color is drab, the face sculpt looks like animated rescue bots quality, the transformation he's like something from a bad 2014 third party figure.

The joints are all terribly designed gaps and waffles everywhere.

I want to vote with my wallet that this is not worth the price of admission

I'll try the toy out, but it does remain a touch baffling how this Rhinox deviated from the apparent formula of most Kingdom BW character toys (more realistic beast mode, strongly '96 cartoon-accurate robot mode within compromises to achieve the first goal). The beast mode is real enough, though the T30 toy gets the overall shape of a real rhino closer IMO. The robot mode hits some beats from the cartoon design, like the use of the fake wide jaw chestplate and 'robot feet growing out rhino feet' detail, If they gave him a screen-accurate head sculpt along with a few other details (like rounded shoulder details on the green body part to resemble his cartoon shoulder joints, for one example) This Rhinox would probably sway over several current detractors even if nothing else was changed.

I think Kingdom Rhinox and Waspinator are the two characters I'm happy to keep the T30 versions of.

This Rhinox can stand up 10/10.

The T30 figure was one of the most horrendous bummers of that era for me. Its a big bulky looking Rhinox! That can't stand up at all unless you're posing it in one specific tableau.

Kingdom Rhinox I think is worse for being in a line where Cyclonus and Primal were in the first wave. Rhinox cuts a good silhouette, is very poseable and solid. The colors are what they are, and "accuracy" doesn't really hit me here as a problem. It looks enough like Rhinox more than Kingdom Cheetor generally looks like Cheetor.

The leg transformation is the obvious sore spot but I kind like how insane it is that a mainline voyager has MP Sunstreaker levels of "you have to do this in order but there is an order" panel winding.

I think he hits a lot of the same qualms as Dinobot for me in that parts of him feel like they were crammed together and had more ambitious plans that might have been smoother with 10 dollars worth of engineering, but maybe people think Dinobot is just cooler? I quite like Rhinox, because again, he can actually stand and emote and is in line with the style and standard of the Kingdom line.

I'm trying to imagine if this would look significantly better with a green plastic color and headsculpt closer to T30. I feel like that would help a lot. As it stands, this is the most "toy-ish" looking Kingdom BW figure since Cheetor, who got a tune-up with the Netflix version.

Awful, awful, awful transformation. Feels like I’m constantly flexing parts over each other and it’s just a cluttered, unfun affair. Bot mode is solid and has some redeeming aspects, but the beast mode is a boring, unarticulated brick.

Overall, it’s a surprising misfire from an otherwise pretty stellar line.

    So....I'm torn....

Kingdom Rhinox has much better robot mode articulation, and his shins/calves look better to me...but that's where the improvements end for me. Generations Rhinox has the better green/gold colors, as well as the more accurate head and of course, the much better guns.

Kingdom Rhinox can pose better, but is bland as hell color-wise, while Generations Rhinox can't pull off as many dynamic poses, but his colors pop more for me.

Since my shelves are figures for just displaying, then my Generations Rhinox wins in the end, so I guess I'll hafta figure out where to put Kingdom Rhinox for now, as he just won't cut it on my group shelf. If Hasbro releases the Kingdom version with better colors however, then it'll come down to the heads and weapons as to who will be on my shelf at that point.

Alright, I have him. I don't own the T30 version, just have seen pics and video reviews.

This figure is fine. He won't win any awards, he gets the job done. If I had the choice of paying retail price for both, I'd probably go for T30. But since that's not happening, I'm perfectly fine with this guy. The articulation is good in robot mode. He cleans up pretty decently. The transformation from rhino to robot is a bit of a pain, but I've since realized you absolutely need to rotate around the hind leg piece before untabbing the feet from their original position in rhino mode to minimize the "stretching" you need to do.

The rhino mode being just a chunk is actually kind of funny. Proportionally I think T30 looks better in both modes, but Kingdom will do. I am considering painting his forearms black or a dark grey like how they are on the T30.

Just got him today.I keep find something stuck during the legs transformation, which makes me feel more difficult to transform to bot mode.
I've got Primal,Rattrap,Blackarachnia,Dinobot,Scorponok and Wingfinger, and Rhinox is the only one that I wouldn't like to transform regularly.
Also,I think they should use dark green on this Rhinox instead of light green.Darker color suits his steady personality better.
Despite the transformation and my opinion about the color,he looks good in both bot mode and beast mode. Not as good as T30 tho.
If they are going to release a netflix repaint with darker colors,I might get it.
