Norman target here, and while I don't go by there often, their selection can vary. I've had some really great luck with them, but other times they suck.

 

They really do suck right now. A lot of the Walmarts I've been to lately have actually had a surprising amount of stock, lots of Retro Headmasters, Netflix figures, Earthrise deluxes, etc. But they're all the shelf-warming characters which really doesn't mean anything in the long run.

 

That's a shame. I've been trying to get on the Retro Headmaster train with the news that we're getting TR-compatible Headmaster Jrs., and I can only find wave 2. Chromedome, Mindwipe, and Brainstorm are nowhere to be seen.

 

Now those three I've yet to see in person. Any Walmarts here seem to have gotten a restock but not of the ones anyone needs/wants.
Really hoping Galvatron shows up soon cause I honestly don't even know if I want him or not, but I'd like to see him in person to decide.

Just found a Kingdom Galvatron on the shelf of a local Target near me.  What was odd is that inside the unopened package is a Beast Wars Megatron.  I listed it on ebay if anyone is interested.  Thanks for looking!

Got my BBTS package today.

Galvatron has the misassembled shoulders. So do they hamper the toy's function in any way, or is just an aesthetic thing?
Hoping the Pulse shipments are the corrected one.

Sure it wasn't a carefully re-sealed box with Megatron in it? I don't trust people out there...

It's not a swap. The Megatron is still completely tied down. This happens at a factory level from time to time. I once had a Wendell figure on a Dr. Marvin Monroe card, and recently my SS Scourge had the backdrop from one of the Bumblebee Movie figures. I agree though that it's not worth anything extra.

I'm going to quote this again because we should be keeping track of the embossed codes on the packaging for the corrected vs incorrect Galvatrons.

 

That happened to you too?! I got BB Starscream's backdrop instead. I would have probably never used the backdrop anyway, but I still felt cheated.

 

Is the code really needed? You can see how the shoulders are assembled through the packaging window.

 

It could still be a repack. If the Leader boxes are anything like the Deluxe and Voyager boxes (I've yet to actually buy a Kingdom Leader), the insert with the figure attached has the exact same dimensions regardless of figure, so someone very easily could have bought Megatron as a heavy discount, Galvatron for full price, put the still-tied-down Megatron insert into the Galvatron box, and returned it. That does feel much less likely, though, so it could actually be a factory error.

 

The photos show only one piece of tape so I think this was done at the factory, like they grabbed the Galvatron box by mistake and stuck the Megatron figure on the insert inside.

Neat, but I wouldn't pay extra for it.

 

Pretty sure they have the same code. It’s random at the factory and the figures were most likely all assembled in the same run. I’m pretty sure people have found correct and incorrect versions on the shelf in the store right next to each other. So they are from the same carton.

And again it’s not that big a deal anyway. The shoulders are a few mm different in height.
