Got mine Friday been messing with her since.

She feels like a complete package. Nails the new bar set by MMC for articulation and solid joints. The deco works great and there are enough details picked out that it doesn't leave you wanting. A special thanks to MMC from learning from the original Kulur and using paint on the mask's eyes. She delivers on the ingenious tread gimmick and is easy to convert into a cohesive tank mode.

She is a magnitude more fiddly than Pexus though. I find I keep knocking off her mask when transforming or messing with her shoulders. Her hands are also not as robust as Pexus, unable to form as cohesive a fist and the are just small enough that they are easier to bump out of alignment. I've also found they can easily pop off and the tight thumbs leave me hesitant to rotate them on their balljoints. The forward shoulder swing tends to pop the chest out too.

Very happy with in all in all. I hope the theme of using Eris as a base for heavy remolds into other character cosplays becomes a thing. It would be really cool to have a set of fembots with radically different altmodes that form a similar robot. Eris: Z-Def with a convincing beast mode was one example. Heck get crazy with it. Twist the tank turret around to face backwards for the alt mode. Remold the legs to form something with glass and smokestacks, change the turret guns into a glass shield, and remold the backpack treads into a truck bed. Change the robot mode chest piece and throw in some red and blue and you have a Eris: Pexus in the style of Animated Cybertronian Deluxe Optimus.

I guess my Eris took the slow boat to the US after all....  

 

Got mine! Joints are great and nice and tight. Looking forward to getting her in some nice poses.

Eris arrived yesterday without any heat damage. She's a fantastic figure, although I wish the mask and mid shin joints were tighter. I've transformed her a few times too, and the chest panel hinge has started showing stress marks. They don't seem to be growing though, so I think it'll probably be okay. The articulation on this figure is top notch and she can get in basically any pose you can think of. I'm a huge fan of the moving treads too, they really tie the tank mode together. I really hope more 3rd party companies start moving in this direction and focus extensively on highly articulated figures.

Also, the fingertips are molded slightly differently on the top and bottom. If you end up popping them off on accident like I did, you should probably look closely and make sure you're reattaching it in the correct direction.

Another vote for a Nautica here if MMC are listening. I would buy 2 and I know I’m not alone.

 

Wouldn't characters like Nautica, Arcee and Windblade go against what this line seems to be for? Wouldn't they go in the Ocular Max line? Show me a female Optimus Prime and Megatron.

 

When you hear peeps asking for Nautica and Windblade, we don’t mean we want them from this line. They’d be reformatted of course. It’s all MMC though.

But some peeps *do* want a Windblade from this line - she’d just be sorta-kinda-Windblade at that point; but she’d be IF nonetheless.

 

For me at least, it's more like "so desperate to get any versions of these characters, I'll take a 'con pretending to be them, because it's better than nothing".

Now, I'm not so desperate for a Nautica that I bought the Titans Return version, but I was close...

We're getting up to "the better part of a decade overdue" by now for some of these.

 

We NEED MMC to give us the kick-ass non-cheesecakey fembots that no-one else seems to want to do.

 

Non-chessecakey? I don’t understanding this term. Were I'm from, cheesecakey is a term used for white republician blonde girls.

That's what I mean - MMC is one of the only 3Ps that DOESN'T do T&A cheesecake fembots.

 

Yeah MMC given us Strika and Override both female characters.
*I know Override was turned into male in the Japanese verison.

This is just my opinion (hope I don’t get too much hate) — but MMC’s Override was absolutely horrendous.

Honestly the only good thing that came from that mold was Getaway. Hot Rod was …. Okay. I guess. Override definitely not.

I woulda loved to get a accurate IDW Override.

There is really no cheese-cakey designs in the IDWverse anyhow; MMC wouldn’t go as far as to changing them to be more “sexy.”

 

Definitely sticking w/ one cannon per arm.

 

It's too bad you can't store that connector piece anywhere with this configuration.
