Or they couldn't stay in budget and get blitzwing to have a accurate vehicle mode and accurate robot mode.
    Look at grindor for example
I did the math if leader blackout is 8.5 inches tall and blackout is 33 feet tall in the movie and grindor is 55 feet tall.
    That's ((55×12)÷(33×12))×8.5=14.16
To be on scale a studio series grindor would need to be 14.16 inches tall

Sorry, schedule will be too full those years, we won't be able to fit any of those continuities in, after all, where would we put the new even more sunbow accurate g1 figures in the line if we were dumb enough to include anything else?

That's the thing. The idea of new Prime toys excites me as I really like the show. However, I'd much rather get some UT figures first. Outside of some "okay" repaints and remolds that we've gotten in this trilogy, it's weird that Hasbro seems to be refusing to give us some bona fide figures from the UT. I had hoped that Hasbros foray into Beast Wars with Kingdom was going to lead to the being open to explore the continuities from the late 90's and early 2000's, but I guess not.

At that height, I'm pretty sure they would've had to have made Grindor a commander class. And at $80, I can't see them doing that with an upscaled figure of a throwaway character.

You joke, but I wouldn't be surprised if this happened.

    Well...

Where Hasbro falls short at least there's 3rd party.
    cries in wallet

But so much for people saying "Hasbro totally won't skip UT based on sales data" forgetting Hasbro was perfectly fine with skipping BW until POTP fan pool happened.

It would suggest that the retools sold poorly. This is the only logical sense if they are revisiting Prime and not UT. I know that I bought neither as Hound Shot was... a thing, and Cybertron Optimus really didn't need a new figure, he is still pretty awesome. I would have been interested in an Armada Optimus, however.

I don't know about the Hot Shot Hound remold, as I was never interested in him.

As for Galaxy Prime, because I live in Canada, I waited for him to show up in my store, I saw one, but I didn't have the funds at the time, and when I went back it was gone. That was the only time I saw one. By that time it was too late to get one in any online store since Galaxy Prime was sold out, and going for a lot more on the after market. But I wasn't going to pay for almost double the price to get one. It took HLJ.com during their inventory to find 1 left in their warehouse, and someone snagged it before me however my order was not canceled. After a few months my order was finally fulfilled, my guess is that the previous person who got it first either canceled or the shipping timer ran out and it went to the next person which was me.

Long story short, too late, I finally got one without paying insane pricing. But that was my experience in trying to get one. So to me it seems like it was popular enough because I had such a hard time in getting one.

I’m thinking maybe it will take another fan poll for UT to be considered? Nominate a UT rep whose really popular and hope for the best?

Don't worry, Armada Prime still exists...
He just costs close to $200 at a different scale if you want him rather than possibly $90.

I love Transformers Armada I truly do. Just like with Kingdom Beast Wars I'll tell myself I'm not going to buy new Armada toys and I'll enjoy them through photos of other's collections on TFW, and then I'll buy them all. I won't be able to resist Demolishor & Cyclonus, Hot Shot, Red Alert and all my other favorites. Give it time, it'll happen.

I'm still pretty miffed that Armada Prime is stuck in 'financial no-man's land', but what bugs me even more is when you realize Hasbro has been milking the Bay films for 10+ years and have only thrown scraps to fans of anything other than those movies or same few early G1 characters they repeatedly re-do while neglecting the later years and JG1.

They've been milking these films since long before Hasbro entered their 'play it safe G1' phase. Which may not be so bad if the movies themselves weren't such stinking piles of refuse that doesn't deserve all the funds and attention poured into it.

We're only getting a taste of Beast Wars now, I doubt they'll do Beast Machines despite it easily being the most ambitious and tightly written TF shows to date, no Car Robots, no UT, no Animated, none of the Japanese original series, the soulless, uninspired bastardization that Hollywood crapped out.

And if not the movies then they'll throw Prime at us, which is only somewhat better than the Bay films, which isn't hard to achieve given how low the Bay films set the bar anyways.

Fans spent nearly 12 years talking about how bad the "dubbed anime era" was, it is very likely that Hasbro's perception of how much fans like the Unicron Trilogy is pretty low, I know for fact that when I found out Transformers boards existed years and years ago I saw mostly spite for those animes, specially Energon and Cybertron. If Takara themselves don't push for it I don't see Hasbro going out of their way to homage that era unless fans make themselves heard, so you oughta bug them in social media more.

I'd be curious if you've actually been around that long and aren't just pulling your experiences from Tfwiki, that's not me throwing shade I'm being straight up. I've spoken to many people in this fandom and you can sorta tell when their 'experience' comes almost exclusively from Tfwiki.

That said, the dubs are pretty laughable but in general the originals are at least watchable, way moreso than any of the Bay films. They definitely had better designs, as well as actual characters in them!

In an ideal world the first Bay film would've come out and it would've been treated like the first live action G.I. Joe movie, then it would've hopefully teetered off without taking a good show with it (Renegades being cut off at the knees because of Retaliation). I'm so positive that the TF franchise would've been better off without those dumb movies dragging it down, and it would've found it's 'big payout' elsewhere, or it would've just stayed in a comfy niche like G.I. Joe, and these days that's really not such a bad thing.
