Haven't imported any anime since GITS-Arise some years ago, but made an exception to this since I quite enjoyed this series.

So received and watched yesterday. Released in japan tuesday, i think. Quick shipping from amj!

    The movie has excellent english-subs.

    No special extras.

Very good movie and really great and superb animation, especially the hectic battle scenes. :rock

My top 3 anime picks... it is impossible for me to pick #3. Just nothing stands out enough. So I'll just list a couple of stuff that might fit the bill.

1 - Neon Genesis Evangelion series

2 - Tenchi Muyo ( the old stuff. The new stuff is trash, and I hate them all so much)

3 - a tie between: Hare and Guu, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin

Top movies... I can never pick! Basically the majority of Miyazaki and Satoshi Kon's work.

I also really love Berserk, Fruits Basket, CardCaptorSakura, Azumanga Daioh, Yakitate Japan, GITS, parts of DBZ and Naruto.

The 2nd episode of Non Non Biyori repeat nearly killed me. I couldn't stop laughing at the Ruler wars.

Sooo... I've been watching So I'm a Spider, So What? and, honestly, I find myself losing interest during the most recent episodes. Which is funny because these are the last couple of episodes of the season. Frankly, I find Shun to be highly annoying and completely clueless. Though I can't exactly root for the other side either since their plan for world salvation is pretty fucked up honestly.

    Just finished SSS Dynazenon...

And, I'm like, WTF happened in this show...

I mean, aside from the face value story and what I assume are references to the original Gridman show and SSSS Gridman, everything that happens happens so suddenly and at random... there's no rhyme or reason WHY the Kaiju even exist in the world, not to mention Dynazenon and the rest of the things that happen involving Kaiju.

Every episode is like 3/4 angst and emo and then suddenly it's 1/4 giant robot fighting against some random kaiju... And then the episode abruptly ends.

I have nothing to say against Studio Trigger's animation, but like SSSS Gridman before it, SSSS Dynazenon's story seems to trying to be artsy and deep just for the sake of being artsy and deep.

    jya na!

Dynazenon didn't grab me as much as Gridman did but I still enjoyed it enough.

Back Arrow also ended today. I enjoyed watching this series a lot.

Currently rewatched Victory Gundam until around episode 32, and... NGL, the show so far wasn't all that great; And I find myself losing more interest in what's going on, to the point of where I do consider dropping the rewatch.

Vivy Fluorite eye's song, interesting premise and the most energetic "this song should be played everytime a fight is going on" Opening song I've heard recently that I can't stop humming it randomly.

The colors and visual of the world is just something that I love to see in animation and I can't help that this show really likes to place small nods in each episodes to other sci-fi series.

Like, that episode involving the space hotel called 'Sunrise' also includes a shot that closely resembles the famous colony drop scene from Sunrise's most popular franchise :Mobile Suit Gundam. Also episode 5 has some robots that looks very familiar to those that are aware of Nier Automata...

Other anime I had watched recently is 86, hype song and interesting focus on how terrible the country the characters are living in can be regarding other races. I wish more time was spent on some of the characters before they bit the dust but I think they were going for anyone can die unexpectedly that you don't even get the chance to know them kind of story.

I haven't caught up on Dynazennon yet, I will probably continue it after I've finished the other shows first.

Ugh same. Last two episodes were an absolute drag. Someone commented on the last episode and hit it on the head. Kumoko's story basically breaks the isekai trope resulting in a very entertaining show to watch. Shun and the other rebirths on the other hand exemplify everything that is wrong with isekai. Dull over powered heroes, needless cliffhanger moments, insanely arrogant talkative bad guys, etc etc.

They seriously need to up their game for season 2 or I'm seriously thinking of just dropping it. Love Kumoko but having to sit through some of these human segments is like watching grass grow. Becoming less and less worth it.

Gif unrelated to my post I just love her expression. :p

We watched Adieu Galaxy Express 999 and I'm not sure how I feel about this one compared to the first one. The plot seemed all over the place and hard to follow at times. Like I thought they killed off the machine empire in the first one, yet, they're back here? huh? Additionally, there were some locations they went to that seemed to serve no purpose at all. Oh, and the Star Wars moment with Faust was kind of facepalm inducing because I made that joke earlier on in the movie after seeing it came out in 81. :lol  I wouldn't have minded it as much if something had actually been done with it, but in the end Faust just makes an off comment about Tesuro being his son and that was it. I don't even think Tesuro heard him say it.

The animation and soundtrack were down right amazing.

what am I spoiling, the character's names?
Or did you mean to quote the other person who posted the real picture.

Watched the current The Romcom where the Childhood friend won't lose! & honestly, Kuro is just dropping lower and lower. I'd even put all her sisters before her as I'm just not going for any kind of manipulation she's pulling.
