Hi, I have the non-metallic MFT dinobots and I really regret getting them as I think they look dull and low-quality, plus some of them were way too hard to transform. I am wondering what you find so premium about them or what you are comparing them with.. maybe I am too demanding, maybe we have different ideas about premium :)

Yeah, I'm curious about that too.

I thought it was a simple reissue, at first, but then I double checked the box of my MFT Magnus and - while the figure looks aesthetically identical to this new one - it doesn't come with the 'A' on the product code (plus I guess the name is different too). Not that I plan to replace it anyway - it's still one of my favourite in the entire collection - but I'm wondering what this 2.0 fuss is about, now.

Might be a different shade of blue?

The good point is that MFT drops the price very soon to 20-25€. And I sold my Magnus 2.0 a few months ago, but I miss him. DKW ShowZ always has a little bit expensive prices for MFT figures. I'll keep and eye on it, this Magnus 2.0A it's a good chance to have him again. :)

    It is indeed, you're right.
This morning I didn't notice, as I was outside and on my phone.

I just double checked the MFT catalogue over at Show.Z and, currently, there are two separate listings for their Magnus.

One is this, available for purchase

which looks to be a simple reissue of the same figure we already own.

This one below, on the contrary

features a more cartoon accurate colour scheme, which appears to be based on the latest deco from Magic Square.

Needless to say, I preordered one. I'm always in for added toon fidelity (plus, I'm not really into the armour concept/design of the upcoming MST and NA upcoming offerings).

MS went for both approaches. All they need now is one with Minimus Ambus and they'll have all bases covered.

well, that is where our stories differ.

i have the metallic set and everything about that set is lush. having owned both sets DX9/MFT i can tell you the MFT set is far superior. especially if you want your slag to be able to stand on his own or you like a snarl that wont cut you up when you go to alt him. i wont even touch on sludge or grim stuff.

but for me all and all the paint apps, the corrections that were made to the DX9 molds make these bots superior. also, having the ability for all of them to hold their weapons properly is a huge plus. the new head, new arms and all the other good stuff just works for me.

unfortunately you got the lesser version of that mold. if i had the non metallics i dont think i would be that happy either personally.

to really appreciate these bots you really need to have the metallics in hand. they absolutely pop and are very well done. these guys have great 3p paint apps. for their price they are fantastic. they have better paint apps than most and are durable as hell.

i just feel this way about them and like i said it will be very hard to top these. it might not be worth it to even try.

The new one basically features a slightly darker and less saturated shade of blue, compared the the regular 48. Overall, it looks more toon accurate to me.

Hi friends, one question for those who have Tracks. The figure dropped the price to very convincing price of 25€ (more or less depending the seller). What's your opinion of the figure? I saw that it has too many gaps for my likes, but the price is nice now. Thank you so much!.

I have Tracks - I like him enough to buy Road Rage too - but not seen her for sale yet- so I guess she's not actually out yet.

I just got it, and unluckily I got it just before the price drop, but I really like it. I think that price is a lot more reasonable than the $40 that I paid however. It doesn't have nearly as many moving parts as Octane or Astrotrain. But it's an excellent figure and has some ingenious engineering. It out-masterpieces the Masterpiece, though that is admittedly not the highest bar to clear. Overall I've been very happy with it.

Out of curiosity, what gaps are you referring to? One of the things I like about it is that it's largely gap-free when compared to other takes on the character. There are no gaps on the legs, for example.
