Well, mine left China on the 10th and hasn't been seen since. Of course, since I'm moving tomorrow...sigh

Several hours after I made this post, I checked again and the package was at my local USPS distribution center. So... guess it didn't go to L.A.? Maybe the "LAX" that was indicated by the SF-Express website doesn't mean the L.A. airport? Or maybe the tracking site is incorrect?

At any rate, I'm feeling much better about actually getting this figure in the next few days. I just hope it won't be melty, like a few other folks have had (though I don't think mine's ever come in contact with FedEx, who seems to be the main culprit).

I really don't think Eris needs 3 or more agents... what is even happening?

After all the hinge reports, I've decided to not transform Eris for the time being. Hopefully the repaints fix this issue. Oh, and here's a picture of Eris dual-wielding.

If it's like mine it's just getting scanned several times when it gets handed off to UPS or whoever is handling domestic delivery for you. If you use parcelapp it should be able to tell you what the new tracking number is.

Got Eris yesterday. At first glance I like her. She feels like a more premium version of a Reformatted toy.

I don’t like the swirly plastic used for the fake metallic parts. Just use a glossy gray plastic instead. It would look so much better.

I‘m also not a fan of the mid shin joints on her legs. They make her unwieldy to pose especially since they have less tension than all the other joints in her legs.

Similar to Optus Pexus her hands don’t look that disproportioned in hand but I still think it would look better if they were smaller.

The highlight of the toy is the unconventional transformation and the threads. In fact the treads are so awesome that I wish MMC would make an upgrade set for Carnifex with just treads in this style.

They are fun to just fidget with and whizzz them around and around.

Agree on the swirly plastic too. Should just be painted.

Thanks, I‘ve written the reply in a bit of a hurry.

I agree if you want it metallic, paint it. If you can’t paint it for whatever reason (budget, longevity, material) just use gray.

Kulturs thighs are gray and they look good. On Flame Toys Tarn they are painted and look great. Eris thighs look so so.

My copy is showing delivered on the tracking site but no package showed up. Hopefully it was only misdelivered. Have any of you ever had this sort of thing happen with USPS?

Same answer here, but they sent a second email elaborating their answer. I will just paste it:

"It’s a special plastic material used in this figure, the pros is that it has good rigidity and flexibility, the cons is the stress marks could form in some complex shaped parts. At the factory, it has been tested and proven.
Like I say, if it happens you are always welcome to contact us, but it’s just cosmetics and it’s not worth customers’ self dismantling that might cause further issues."

I cautiously transformed Eris a couple of times more, the stress marks don't seem to grow, so for me PSX's explanation is good enough. If something breaks, I will contact them again, but I'm confident that won't be the case.

    By the way, amazing figure!

After messing around with her backpack, I came up with this configuration that I think looks good:

    Eris Backpack Back.jpeg
    Eris Backpack Top.jpeg

Are the stress marks visible in either mode?

No, they wind up on the inside of the chest and the chest winds up under the tank so you shouldn’t really notice it outside of transformation.

That’s probably my biggest issue with the design, I kinda wish that entire piece was solid and they figured out another option for the transformation. But everything else is awesome

Finally got mine today. Lucked out and looks like mine is problem free. All the joints are tight including the shin joints. Hopefully everyone else that has been waiting like me winds up with getting theirs in the same way.
