Yeah, great to see you-know-who, but I feel like we saw this story play out recently in Star Wars. Hopefully it's cleared up sooner given that we're only at the halfway point of the season.
I started re-watching TCW recently, so the character is quite fresh in my mind. Boy did I scream and cheer when I heard his voice. Really good episode. Been missing Crosshair over these past few weeks, so good to see him again. Only complaint so far is, I was quite enjoying the stuff on Kamino with Tarkin, the regs and the early stormtroopers. Would like to see a bit more of that thread.
Something I was going to note but didn’t due to the shock of the guest star is that it’s depressing to hear the clones refer to each other by their CT numbers. I remember how uncomfortable it was to hear Krell use their CT numbers, this was.. worse.
I do not buy the revelation about Omega at all. But I don’t think Tech is lying. I just don’t know what this gets us.
At the minimum: Exactly what was revealed and the Kaminoans need her to keep mass producing a new army of clones to either ensure the good graces of the empire or to stand against it. Maybe even just find new customers looking for an army. Heck, maybe the show will indeed end with the battle of Kamino.
Spoiler: boba Daaaaad, Taun We’s dead. Guess we won't be seeing her again. Hehehe but for real, Alpha and Omega. A short conversation, but super important. Question for me is, what exactly makes her different from Boba, while at the same time the closest match the Kaminoans have to Jango? Can't just be a duplication of the X gene like Laura Kinney originally was in the comics before they changed her origin to biologically have half of Logan's genes, half Sarah Kinney. In addition, she's likely a natural blonde compared to Boba, unless Lama Su allows her to bleach her hair. Could it be a case of Dominant vs Recessive genes like Liquid and Solid Snake? Or maybe she's transgender or Jango's intergender, I don't know much about gender and spectrum stuff to make a solid statement
I think its simply just that. Design wise it keeps her unique enough to make viewers question it or not, make her look too similar and the reveal is worthless.
It's not like Omega is the ONLY Jango clone with blonde hair, I mean Rex's hair might be kept short, but his hair is blonde, too.
They just also introduced a reason to drag Boba into this mess as well. He's option #2. Wouldn't surprise me if they have links.
I was under the impression that Rex bleached his hair that way, similar to how a few other clones seemingly styled their hair in different colors as well.
That's probably the case, and according to Wookieepedia, IS the case, but until I see Rex sporting black roots, I'm gonna keep thinking his hair is blonde
I thought I saw somewhere that Temuera Morrison’s mother or relative was blonde, it’s a rare thing that happens among those of his descent. Spoiler Fascinating that Omega is a clone who doesn’t rapidly age and is also a pure clone of Jango like Boba. How did she come to be? I thought maybe Jango wanted a daughter but if she’s the same age as Boba that can’t be, otherwise BW would’ve had her with him by AOTC. While I guess the idea that she’s a Palpatine clone is out the window, those test tubes gave me some war flashbacks to not just Snoke in TROS, but the Siege episode of Mandalorian where they found what were presumably proto-Snoke’s. I love it, keep the mystery going. Fennec and Bane were both badass. Bane was the dominant fighter but he had to really work for it, and even then she could still get the drop on him. Neither got punked, and I love that Fennec was looking out for Omega. Nala Se of all people being protective of Omega is interesting and crazy as hell. I wonder what else the Prime Minister has planned if anything. Good to see Hunter using the dad lessons he learned from Cut; and I’m glad we keep getting genuine answers every now and then about what’s going on. Again, Fennec was great, I’m glad she’s a rookie bounty Hunter who keeps her heart of gold - and that Bane regarded her with enough respect that he tipped his hat to her and implored her not to end her career so quickly. Lots of good action, tense situations and interesting reveals. Keep it up, Bad Batch!
Why, because one character from that appears in this? This has nothing to do with the Book of Boba Fett. I mean, it's Star Wars. Dying your hair could be permanent in this universe. Only Omega is a natural blonde clone. (though her eyebrows are dark, so maybe she's a bottle blonde as well?)
I mean... I imagine Boba Fett having a sister is something that might be important in his own show. He might want to know that, if he doesn’t already.
Because Omega isn’t any other clone. She was made just like him. It’s not unreasonable to consider them/for themselves to think of each other as proper siblings.
All that's special about her is she does not have the accelerated aging. (according to Tech) I doubt Boba really would care, given he doesn't even have a shred of sympathy/care towards the clones. He only has attachment to his father because he was his father and raised him. And even regardless of all that, why would he wait like twenty-five years before doing anything about it? It'd be really weird for there to just be this huge gap between Omega's relevance and Boba suddenly caring that he has a sister. After all that time, what would be the purpose?
