If you're doing a Hilux, will you also be doing a companion build of a screen-accurate "Top Gear Edition"? :)

Yep, it is Hilux to the rest of the world (and just plain Toyota Truck in the US prior to the Tacoma name). I'll definitely take photos and share it here once I'm done with it. Not sure how long that will take, but I am going to make one.

Yikes! Now that is a serious beater.

Considering what that Hilux actually went through, I'd say it looks pretty good :)

I take it from that that you've not seen this before, so... here's the story... :)

Between this segment and when they made cars into boats,Top Gear became one of my favorite shows.

I harvested LEGO pieces for a few months & downloaded dva mech instructions & adapted. The lighting in my house doesn't do well with so many black pieces. I still hope the detail come thru enough & tried my best to show the flip out blades, how the canopy opens, & some of the articulation. It's pretty stable too.

Bought the new Creator Castle (out in Europe).

A strange purchase, because I never really had Lego Knight stuff when I was a kid -- just one set consisting of some knights and a catapult or something like it. But I really liked the look, felt it fitted with what I wanted and so I bought it.

Considered getting it at the Lego online store because of the added bonus of points, a GWP that I didn't care for and could've combined it with buying some parts, but I felt like supporting the local toy store after the months of Covid Lockdown. (Now worried that the store will have a creator discount next week, since they had discount for Ninjago and Mario this week).

Will be weeks if not months of building. Monday I'll start on the first build, the little market (or whatever it is) and spread it out a bit. Then the tower (at least two weeks) and then the Castle (weeks).

Dug this out today. Absolutely caked in dust but man, what a toy. So much going on and it doesn't sacrifice anything to accommodate all the functions.

Don't suppose anyone is looking to get rid of any Exo-Force stuff.

Oh man! That old MTT was a beast. Those were the glory days of Lego Star Wars. 07-09 had some awesome sets.

Finally picked up the Ship in the Bottle set off Amazon for Prime Day. $48.99 is more than a fair price, I think.

Yeah I did too, especially after seeing it (again) at Legoland recently and my daughter was suddenly interested in it. "I'll wait for a sale" I told her. 30% off works for me!

Earlier they had The Razor Crest for 40% off, I already have that set but would have been tempted to get another - thankfully I was too late for it haha.
