RK restocked Gulf / Skalor and Turtler / Snaptrap. Robotoybase has all 6 but only available as the set, not individually.

 

All I need is Overbite at this point. I should have Snaptrap and Skalor in June when the pulse restock ships, and I have the rest.

 

Snaptrap and Skalor arrived over the weekend from Hasbro Pulse. Had the chance today to take time with the gestalt.

Thoughts? Boy, Piranacon sure looks nice. Did I mention how nice he looks? What? Anything else? Well, he looks really nice. The colors really pop and he has definitive shelf presence. But yeah posing is kind of a PITA with the stability issues, but I kind of knew that going in. It's the normal Combiner Wars gestalt issues, only a little worse here.

It is a nice looking set though. The individual bots, particularly the limb bots, are done extremely well and I really appreciate all the little tweaks made from the Terrorcons. Really some clever things going on with how they took existing molds and made them really feel their own.

I'm using Seawing as the targetmaster. The targetmaster is more of a cane than it is a gun. But I think Seawing looks the best as a gun because it's more boxy looking and Overbite best as an arm because the forearm is more narrow.

Expensive trip. But it does look really nice.

 

So are they ever going to rerelease Tentakil and/or Overbite? Honestly I would be happy with just one so I can build Poseidon. Wondering if I should just buy a second Gulf or LobClaw and just build Poseidon with a duplicate limb.

 

They already rereleased Tentakill back in December, so far Overbite is the only one who hasn't gotten rereleased.

I still need Overbite, Snaptrap and Skalor are on their way now, so I'll be able to combine them, bit I'll be missing a critical part of the sword until I can track down a reasonably priced Overbite.

 

Well hopefully they will rerelease Overbite. And while they did release TK it wasn’t in nearly the quantities of the other 4. It wasn’t up long. Honestly I prefer Overbite anyway so if he gets rereleased I will be thrilled.

 

Congrats y'all! Just wondering if these are new pressings or old stocks? Meaning? Are they loose as heck or very tight joints? 'cause mine is as floppy so floppy ( first release)

 

Mine so far have had fairly tight joints, no major issues for me, I only have Tentakill, Nautilator, and Seawing in hand right now though.

 

The only thing that was every "floppy" for me was Snaptrap/Turtler's bicep swivels, which does of course affect his stability in combined mode. Otherwise, joints were good on all of my Seacons.

 

So many fans use a Seacon as a Canemaster, but my Piranacon can hold his Targetmaster up after I applied two coats of varnish to Nautilator's hips. I wouldn't risk a third coat, because the ball joints are so tight that I risk breaking them when pulling the thighs off.

Argh, I had the others on preorder and canceled them because I thought these were never going to restock. Now the other ones are out of stock.
Ah, well, I'm probably better off, I'd be disappointed in him with the QC issues.

I need Tentakil and Overbite  

 

I just need Overbite in order to have the whole team of six. Go figure that he's the last one and he has an integral par tof the full sword.

Everyone but tentakil has seen several restocks. Why not him?

 

Tentakill got restocked last December. Overbite is the only one left out of the most recent restocks.
