The white tap that kept the left leg in snapped apparently. Living up Warbotron now causes him to just slide right out of the tank foot.

Found out that was a choice by Warbotron. Those pegs had broken easily on the original so they just took them out this time around.

    Weird choice o_O
I've had several issues with my originals WB-01's bots, but not this one. Never noticed (edit: and never heard about) a problem with these pegs.
    Thanks for the information.

Got the set in from BBTS and am glad to finally have these guys. I'm enjoying how simple they are.

Has anyone had problems with the ankles on this one? I haven't used the tilt yet since the original could break. Also noticed in the instructions for Brawl and Swindle that they show them with the "wrong" foot piece. They come packed matching the instructions, which has it so the tilt is on the outside rather than the inside.

I heard that Blast Off can get stuck in the arm port. Has there been any issues with the same happening to Vortex. I haven't actually plugged them in yet. I did compare how the spring tabs felt on them both and Blast Off's are definitely harder to push in all the way.

I do have two assembly problems on mine. One of the side cannon parts on Brawl's turret had the round part it attaches with on one side bent so it broke off. I can still get the side cannon back on using the round bit on the other side and that seems to work fine. The other is Vortex's left arm must have been misaligned when they shot the pin through. It goes all the way through the lower half, but didn't actually go through the hole on the upper half so it's not attached.

Edit: Forgot to mention. Brawls arms seem to be fixed on this version and extend very easily. I remember that they were too tight on the original and some people ended up breaking them off trying to get them to extend.

Do yourself a favor and take the locks out of Blast Off before you combine them. I didn’t, and I had the worst time getting it back off. No probs with vortex tho. No issues with the ankle tilts. Scary tight, but they hold.

Thanks.:)  I was able to get the locks off pretty easily. I went ahead and tried the ankles one click each and one seems fine. The other is stressed and doesn't click now, but should work well enough for me.

Sorry but this thread needs more pics of each issue and how to fix it. Thanks.

I appreciate the info but it is sometimes hard to picture it precisely.

So I purchased one of the discounted Warbotron Bruticus box sets from bbts and had the two common issues of missing chest posts and missing missile pods; both issues on fierce attack.

BBTS's latest update is that they are trying to work out a resolution with Warbotron and that I will receive notice about what the resolution is from a BBTS product specialist.

This update is as of 16 days ago which was May the 4th. I've checked in once since then, but BBTS is still waiting on Warbotron.

Is everyone else still waiting on Warbotron/BBTS like I am?

You wouldn't have happened to see how much stock was left when you made your purchase would you? I just sent them an email about the issues I had, but if I click on the item from my order page it goes to a 404. I'm not sure if they ran out of stock or took down the listing while they figure things out. I'm guessing the the latter since older sold out listings can be accessed if you still have the link even though they don't show on the product page. (Fierce Attack, older set with X-Ray).

Here are some pictures of the misassemblies on mine.

I'm sorry I didn't notice how much stock was left. And yes, even when I try to click on the link in my purchase history I get the same 404 message. I do know four weeks has passed while I've been waiting on BBTS/Warbotron to figure out what they're going to do. Even though it's taken them awhile, BBTS has been great to work with.

BBTS sitting in my pile of loot. Should I keep it?

Yes. Sand down or remove those spring locks on Blast-off's connector port BEFORE connecting.

Just got my Blast-off off of Onslaught. Almost hulk smashed the whole thing. Unscrewed a lot but really just needed to scrape down the spring tabs on connector port. Ended up using the smallest flat head screwdriver bit on a precision screw driver set. The plastic is soft enough to scrape a bit off. Then just wriggle it off. Remove spring tabs or sand them down for future combining. The problem is the tabs do NOT recede into the main body of the connector port when you press them in.

I am missing missile pods as well.
One of Blast-off's arms is screwed up to where he can't completely transform into shuttle mode. I think I just have to flip a part. It is like his bicep mushroom peg part.

Thanks, but I canceled my order. I don’t want to do work on my toys - because I’ll likely mess up and be unable to look past the error when I look at the figure

I guess I’ll wait for another option

got this set after YEARS, I paid like 150$ for the whole set, just a quick opinion about this set
first of all WHAT THE HELL IS DATED? please, help this silly stupid collector WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE FK IS DATED because I've seen the same stupid dumb word being used to trash talk about great figures over AND OVER AGAIN, WHAT THE GODDAMN HELL IS DATED FOR YOU? what is modern? tell me please, what is modern? a, ER Seeker with 2005 engineering oversized is modern? tell me if you say WARBOTRON IS TRASH DATED MMC BRUTICUS IS SOOO MODERN! a literal overengineered lego brick like MMC Swindle is modern now because muh G1????? that's modern to you? details and style are dated for you? please answer, ANSWER COME ON, TELL ME WHAT IS DATED WHAT IS MODERN, if people love to trash talk about this set and Hexatron there must be a really incredible and irrefutable answer.
second, people say that this set is bad because it has QC issues, news, EVERY SINGLE TRANSFORMER FIGURE SINCE 1990 ISN'T PERFECT, your 400$ MP44 comes with issues, your 400$ FT Thomas has issues, your 900$ TW Devastator HAS ISSUES, what's new? what's the horrible sin that this set has committed? and of course, NEWS, if your loved FT/MP/TW figure has issues, you'll pay for it, and wait! even your MMC figures that have issues, you'll pay for it, and you'll wait MONTHS for replacements parts, but how cruel and horrible from Warbotron to give you FREE replacement parts! how bad! we should never support this company ever again!
final words, I hate stress marks, I sold many many figures because they had stress marks, my Onslaught has super small stress marks (the kind that I hate MOST) same with Brawl, little stress marks in some hinges, they look like natural stress marks (just like SS Blackout's stress marks, and I've bought and sold that figure 4 times, I really hate stress marks) but you know what? I don't even care! because opening every single Warbotron box was like opening a Christmas gift, you can build a giant poster with the boxes! and inside every box, you'll find replacement pieces in bags, collectible cards, even comics! and finally, a great figure with TONS of accessories, that's how I felt after opening all of them, like a kid opening a gigantic Christmas gift, not just figures, I got the whole package of everything that I love, I always said that EmGo is a little crybaby, after seeing his miserable review of Warbotron I'll say it again, imagine hating this, just imagine how sad your life must be to say "REEEE I HATE STUPID CARDS STUPID COMICS STUPID BOXES STUPID REPLACEMENT PIECES GIMME A PERFECT FIGURE DESIGNED BY GOD TO HAVE 0 FLAWS!" that, that's just sad to listen, I'll post more pics later, honestly, if the collector community hate this set so bad like most of people say in this very thread, they deserve things like ER Arcee such a modern figure!

So the saga of the Warbotron WB-01 fix is finally over. I was one of those who ordered the clearance set off of BBTS. I had the two most common issues: missing the accessory of missile pods on fierce attack aka onslaught and missing pegs under the chest on the same figure, which help hold the chest in place in robot mode(it still holds pretty well without them via strong friction). I emailed them on 4/23rd. Their first solution was to send me an entire second set free of charge, which they did. I didn't have to pay shipping or anything. They offered this solution; I did not ask for it. 2nd set had the same two issues as the first set.

They eventually sent me the missing missile pods. Yesterday, July 14th, they confirmed that the missing pegs underneath the chest were purposefully left off by the manufacturer due to a high degree of breakage in earlier production runs.

The overall process took about 2 1/2 months, but BBTS was great and responsive to any questions I had. If someone had told me about the issues before ordering, I would have passed on it - but now that I have it - I'm REALLY glad I got it whether there were any fixes or not. I've seen other issues mentioned in this thread other than the two I had, but neither set I received had any other issues.

That's BBTS for you. Slow but Reliable.

Overall I'm happy with the set for $150. Even with the problems it's still a big improvement of the Machine Boy Warbotron I bought.
