Well as a G1 collector if it is going to be a G1 figure it would've been nice if it was something that more than 25% of us actually wanted to collect. So these ongoing Sideswipe repaints are a pain to me as well...
Lol. I literally don't have the ability to leave the house for two hours just to look for toys. Like everyone else, I'm talking about the sheer amount of shit that's available for order and pre-order that's been leaked with no official announcement. I cannot wait for NYCC this fall. Hopefully a return to normal.
There's really not anything more out for preorder this year than the last few years and not many of the leaked things have been orderable until they've actually been revealed
Well if the pics in most FB TF groups are any indication, they'll just be put in the Kingdom box that the new Red Alert came in and sent back to the store...
Again, the amount of leaks is on the factory level, retailers jumping the gun on posting things, and a drunk guy. Kind of hard to blame Hasbro when you really think about it.
I wasn’t leaving my house for two to look for toys. As I said I took a lunch from my job. I’m a field worker and I already told my boss I was doing it because I knew it was there and they didn’t care
So, let me get this straight. You guys prefer Hasbro to reveal Red Alert but simultaneously tell you they don’t know when Walgreens will release the figure or when they can offer preorders because they’re waiting on Walgreens to give the okay. Because you’re inpatient. There’s other examples where Hasbro is dragging its feet with reveals but I don’t think that’s the case here. I think coordinating with a huge retailer is very hard and Walgreens probably considers toy exclusives as a must have item to stock but only 0.001% of actual importance. They want it but don’t care to actually market it or coordinate with Hasbro. Let’s just be realistic here. What you care about is of negative zero importance to the retailer. Hasbro is simply caught in the crossfire in this situation.

I guess I'm going to double down on trying to be unpopular here. Ratchet was the first 'wallgreens exclusive' in the WfC line. And he's STILL AVAILABLE. Online, Ebay, etc. There are now 8 pages of whiney babies going on about how horrible exclusives are and what a cruel and miserable daddy Hasbro is, over a bot that ISN'T EVEN OUT YET. This is why I'm posting the last 12 hours for the first time. I have read the BS long enough. Grow up. Seriously. I dig the red arms debate, and the shoulder cannon. And I even like the Hound mention (my favorite G1). But for the love of the gods can we please stop whining about where to buy? Red Alert isn't going to be available for 2 months. Ratchet can still be found. He was released 2 years ago. Stop crying about things that haven't happened. Everyone can get their slightly changed from Siege Red Alert if they want. Dang.
Everyone is still available if you’re using the secondhand market with no price restrictions as a metric. I don’t understand your point with that.
Well in the end, whether you hear about Red Alert on here by a leak or some Fan First Friday by Hasbro instead, does it really matter?

He's explaining that people are in situations like his own that can't leave to go instore to find a toy at whim. Jesus, the level of self-centered thought process to not concern yourself with other fans who want more opportunities for figures of core characters like Bluestreak and Red Alert to sling shade at them because it doesn't have bearing on yourself is outrageous.
Genuinely cannot wrap my head around this comment. "Excuses"? TRUE FANS consume their product no matter the circumstances... if someone complains that they're having trouble finding a figure, clearly they're lying and just shirking their duty to buy the latest toy.
