So, here in Vegas we've been checking our Target stores. Found quite a few Galvatrons, but all have the wrong shoulders so far. Looks like the whole batch sent our way was made up of bad ones. Hoping that when Walmart gets their stock in (assuming that's soon) they'll be later cases with the fixed shoulders.

found one at the target in the town i work at and he had the shoulders misassembled, i put him back on the shelf and passed on him. went to other targets along the way on my commute home and nothing. debating finding one on eBay and pay a little bit more for a good shoulder one, would save me from driving around trying to hunt one down with the good shoulders....

Loving what i see of the figure, but glad I'm not in a rush to get him. Hopefully the ones shipping from Pulse will arrive with the correct shoulder assembly. Actually. I wonder if anyone has reached out to them yet to inquire about their upcoming shipments.

I think I prefer the 5mm port on the front.

Galvatron’s Cannon is supposed to be on his front bicep, not on the side of his arm, if you look at the animation model. And the miss assembly allows you to do that...sort of.

If I can just get a sticker or a very thin hole cover to cover the metal pin, I think that is my preference.

So I guess the miss assembly version is what I prefer?

Galvatron's cannon is shown on the bicep and on the forearm, depending on the scene. I'm super glad either option is possible for this figure!

As luck would have it, I got a Galvatron a couple hours ago!
    With the incorrect shoulders though….
But honestly, I’ve had the pins facing forward, and literally haven’t even thought about it at all til I grabbed my phone just now and saw I had alerts here. Lol

Really, all around, he’s awesome. Whatever shoulders you get, it seems. :D

This figure is pretty majestic, I really dig him. More so than the misassembled shoulders, the thing that bugs me is the oversized cannon barrel. Even in alt mode it doesn’t seem like it needs to be quite so large. That’s one reason I never bought the Titans Return version.

It’s by no means a dealbreaker, he’s in my top 3 for the entire WFC series over the past 3 years.

Found Galvatron in Target, Acworth GA - Misassembled shoulders. I went ahead and bought one, and figured I may never see him again, so this was my change, misassembled or not. I also tried the fix, but wasn't able to pop that pin out, I was already starting to mangle the plastic around the shoulder joint. So I just stopped, flipped them around and will have to live with the rear tracks not pegging into his upper shoulders cleanly like it was designed :(

I think I’d rather have the bicep swivel over a connected tread.
Although my OCD is still trying to convince me otherwise. :p

My Galvy from BBTS should be arriving today. Chances are slim, but fingers crossed it’s the corrected version.

Alright I got ONE more Target to check today. Will he be there? Probably not lol. Am I going anyway? Yup. If by some chance I find him I don’t even care about the shoulder fix at this point.

Found it yesterday, with the wrong shoulders. But I'm pretty handy so modding it to be correct isn't something that scares me. So far I'm loving the figure but it does have the most awkwardly sculpted fists I've seen on a toy in a while. The thumb and the middle finger are just really weirdly positioned, like he starting to flip the bird but stopped before committing to it or something.

I struggled with that a bit too at first. There's a hinge that needs to be folded on the grey "barrel" piece, it looks like it's not been folded in the picture (assuming you're going into alt mode). You can see it on the inside of the head cavity and if you look at it from behind. Wish I could describe it better, but I got a pic of how it should look. Hope you get it figured out!

If you give it a few months for stock to turn over odds are good the "correct" shoulders will be readily available. If you traced distribution lines I would wager the people seeing the wrong ones are getting figures that were part of the initial shipments.

I'm also fairly certain leakers have already said Galvatron is going to get repacked in the next line, by which point the fix would be easily ID'd.

Just a heads up to anyone who bought this guy from BBTS. I called and told them that I received a copy with “incorrect shoulders.” They emailed me back and this was their reply:

“Thank you for your patience while I researched your concern with our team. We did look into this in-depth and worked with our Product Team. The variation in the shoulders per the manufacturer does not affect transformation and as such is an aesthetic concern only, so they and Hasbro are treating these as a full product at this time. Under these circumstances, it is not considered defective by the manufacturer. It would appear there is a running change made by the manufacturer to address the concern and the distribution appears to be random inside the line, so any exchanges we that these are random, you may wish to pick this up for yourself in person!”

TL;DR: If incorrectly assembled shoulders are a big deal to you, buy it in person because neither Hasbro, nor BBTS (and probably other online retailers) won’t/aren’t going to be providing you with assistance if you get a messed up
    copy.

From BBTS, that's a fair stance to take. It's not a one-off flaw in the figure, it's a known change in production (hell, the official pics show the "wrong" assembly). If they honored that here, they'd be in a tough spot in the future when other running changes started coming up.

Especially since BBTS has no control over which version of the figure they are getting. Like, imagine BBTS selling through it's stock of T30 Arcee and then later the hand variant comes out and now everybody wants to swap theirs.
