Doubt it on better protection. Did anyone order the Megs before it went on sale? Was there ever a free shipping option on it?

As for packaging, I have noticed better packaging/protection recently even on the free shipping option (at least to Canada). Their grey/black plastic wrap over a shipper box, over bubble wrap, over corner protected box.

I had no option for free shipping on this guy, and for the last 2 months of me eyeing it, there was only a charge option.

I tried to order 2 of them for fun and they won’t even let me, as shipping was not available at all.

In any case I’ll update again once he has arrived

The ShowZ sale is really tempting me. Using the coupon it would be $376 shipped to Italy, so about $100 less than what I paid for Optimus.

ShowZ is really tempting me. I got TFC Lumitent from them, and although it took a while to arrive, it showed up in perfect condition. I have 175 points from that purchase as well. I’m just getting fed up with waiting for USAGS, but logistically it’d be easier to just stay with them. Idk..

Just opened a Paypal claim. It will take 20 days before I can escalate to Paypal. What a joke. Anyway, this is the very last time I'll deal with USA Gundam Store.

Turned out I was able to escalate yesterday and now USAGS has refunded my purchase ;)  Yay.

And they still have no word when they’ll receive their stock?

They never responded on Paypal. They could have said something along hei we are actually going to be shipping your order out one week from now or something, but nope, never made that offer. So yeah, I don't think they know when they will receive their remaining stock.

He has a flare for making an entrance.

I have a new lens attachment that I was fiddling with last night before bedtime. Really brings out his eyes. Such a great figure.

Man, this guy is freaking amazing. I am glad I didn't wait for USA Gundam. If Flame Toys were to repaint him, I'll buy another copy. His presence is really second to none. In photos he appeared very thin, but in hand he is well proportioned. His accessories are all top notch and fun to fiddle around with. Highly recommended. This might be the very first time I feel that a Flame Toys figure is worth the MSRP. I felt both Tarn and Star Saber were overpriced, but not this one, but then again I might be biased since this is my favorite version of Megatron.

Glad most people who preordered him have him now.

I've had mine for over 4 months now, so it seems like a long time to wait.

I still haven’t received mine from USAGS, and I’m back from leave now, so I’m contacting them this week and asking for a refund. I know it’s not fully their fault, but I’m tired of waiting around for the figure

So I requested a refund in time for my birthday, but I got the store credit or 5% restocking fee reply. Soooooo I disputed with my credit card. The zero communication past release day except for when I call in, and the "end of the month" reply every time doesn't work for me. Its a shame but my time USA gundam is over. I never prepay for squat anymore, and made an exception thanks to a huge discount. I'd rather eat the $80 and get it from SS. If they take 40 orders, get 30 in stock....thats $200 bucks in restocking fees.

I literally just submitted a refund request to them. That’s disappointing to hear, that’s probably what they’re gonna tell me too. Which means I guess I’ll have to open a dispute with my card as well. What a shame

They responded and indeed gave the 5% cancellation fee or store credit. 5% of $367 is about $18, so it’s not a huge loss, and I’d rather just end this prolonged annoyance and just buy it elsewhere instead of waiting for the dispute to settle with my card. But this could’ve all been avoided if Flame Toys didn’t have distribution issues

Sorry to hear about the whole nuisance with USAGS. The whole 5% thing is so stupid because that's a sure way to lose customers.

Yeah. The prices were good and they arent too far from me in FL. But if you cant fullfill orders on time, over order something that was released, you shouldn't charge a cancelation fee. You can before release date, if its 4 months past release and you cant fill orders you refund the full amount. It just looks shadey. Im not giving anyone 18 bucks to sit on my money and give me nothing. Id rather cut all ties. I was going to switch to them for my Furai, Getters and Gundam because their prices were good. Oh well.

Perhaps I misunderstood their ultimatum. I thought the 5% fee would just be a charge to refund the money to the original payment method; they don’t sit on anything (?)

Thats correct. By sitting on my money I mean paying up front. Its not like it's earning interest but still.
